Got a few more keepers in the afternoon with the short action. We did not sail on Tues A M and no boats went out in the afternoon with nobody coming down. Got out both trips today land fished another area with decent short action and some keepers. High hook of two keepers in the morning and also in the afternoon with Roseann Fossani taking the pool with one of her tow keepers ( her grand son holding them) and Jane took it in the morning, come on guys.. Finally got some really nice weather especially on Sunday with light winds and low humidity. We had a good morning bite with lots of action on the shorts with every on catching fish once we moved form the first couple of spots. With all those fish we could manage only one keeper. On the afternoon trip we caught more keepers but did not have the action, only a pick at the shorts. We are not sailing the morning trip on Tues 8/13 and as of now the afternoon is not looking good but we will see what happens. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics from the last few trips.

We are still picking at shorts but not as fast as we like with some keeper fluke mixed in anywhere form one to a handful. We had a surprisingly light crowd for a beautiful Saturday morning but the afternoon turned out better than expected. Will post pics later and just a note that we will not be sailing the morning trip of Tues 8/13 but will be there for the afternoon if enough show up since they are forecasting showers and t storms. Thanks for looking in and see you on the dock.

The fishing has been the same picking away at shorts with an occasional keeper in the mix. On some trips we use the first short on the next drift for the pool fish if it gets to the end of the trip. At least the short fishing has been ok for the action. Sailing every day, 2 trips @ 8 AM and 1:30 PM. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics of pool fish.

The boats had a nice turnout on Sunday morning and headed out to where we have been catching. Had slow drift on only picked at the shorts slowly. Finally fou7nd an are where the action was better but still only shorts. It was a nice morning and most caught fish. On the afternoon trip we got lucky and had a super first drift boating 7 or 8 keepers and a good pick of shorts. Couldn't repeat it but did pick a few more keepers and shorts after that with several guys like Rich ( who got the pool) ending up with 2 keepers each. Unfortunately some of those pics did not come out. Monday there was a low turnout and fished one side both trips. Picked shorts but not fast and ended up with a couple of keeper fluke with Artie taking the afternoon pool. Thanks for looking in and sailing 2 trips every day except Weds 8/7 afternoon. There are supposed to be bad thunder storms anyway. Here are some pics.

We had a decent morning picking at shorts but not fast with a slow drift and ended up with good amount of keeper fluke by today's standards. Marty ended up taking the pool at the end of the morning but even a couple of new fishermen caught keepers. On e the afternoon trip the drift was much better and we picked at the fish but all shorts until the later part of the afternoon. One lady showed up the guys by boating the first keeper and then a couple drifts later backed it up with another to put a lock on the pool. Sailing every day two trips @ 8 AM and 1:30 PM except on this coming Weds, 8/7, we only be sailing the morning trip. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Picked away at shorts in the morning with a couple of keepers on Thurs and the afternoon we started off with the 2 nice keepers on the first 2 drifts along with shorts of course. John Strozach(sp ?) caught both of them off to a good start. Picked some more shorts and another keeper through the afternoon. Then John's luck changed and he lost his rod hooking a fish. He did however, ended up with he pool fish. This morning was very good with the way things have been. Good action with the shorts and had a decent amount of keepers around the boat fishing close to home. Everyone caught fish. On the afternoon trip it was not as good but did pick at shorts but not as fast and less keeper fluke but I had the honor of having some friends that started me in the business. John Impaglia and his sister Roseann who ended up marrying Capt Charlie jr of the Miss Highlands, and the other mate Charlie German. They had me working with them to help clean the boat back in 1969 and broke me in as a deckhand. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.
