We had an improvement in in the fishing, for us anyway, picking at nice size porgies and everyone catching fish and dinner, even Jerry Mahoney(not pictured). Plenty of action with the small sea bass & blow fish but it was nice to see a few double headers come up. Sailing 2 trips every day except tomorrow we will only doing the morning trip. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

We are now fishing for porgies as the sea bass season is closed and the fluke are almost gone. The fishing was good with lots of action on both trips, but not a lot of porgies to keep. Quite a few blow fish that we kept and tons of small sea bass that kept everyone busy. Its one of those things that one day its good and the next as not as good. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Only got out in the morning on Saturday with bad conditions and we could not fish where we wanted, not that it would make that much of a difference. Few shorts here and there. Today it was nicer and fished where we wanted but no good. Couple of shorts here and there but we did get a keeper fluke that Ron caught again. On the afternoon trip I told everyone we would make a couple of drifts for fluke and then go drift for porgies. Caught a few short fluke on two drifts then looked for porgies and did pick a them and lots of little sea bass but the action was great. Everyone went home with something to eat for once. So now we will be porgy fishing on the same half day schedule. Thanks for looking in and here are a couple of pics.

No boats went out on Friday with the easterly winds but we did make some trips during the week. Just a slow pick on the shorts with one or two keepers caught. We will Fluke over the weekend and see how it goes but still shaping up every day at 8 AM & 1:30 PM. Thanks for looking in and see you on the dock.

None of the boats went out on Friday and we did not try to sail on Sat morning. Got out in the afternoon an stayed in the bay picking a few shorts. Tried out a little farther but no good. On Sunday we got out on both trips and picked at some shorts and a couple of keeper fluke for the day on a very nice ocean. Sailing two trips every day at 8 AM and 1:30 PM for fluke right now as the season ends on 9/21. We will see if fishing improves before switching to something else. We are NOT sailing the morning trip of Weds 9/11 but will go the afternoon. Thanks for looking in.

We did not have enough to get out in the morning but made it out in the afternoon with a small group. Picked at the shorts but did get a few keepers. Doc of Doc and Grace caught 2, one being the pool fish but he is camera shy. Paul who does not agree with swells but hung in there got a nice double header of a keeper fluke and would have been keeper sea bass but the season is closed. We will only sail the afternoon trip tomorrow, Sat, @ 1:30 but not the morning trip as the winds will still be blowing. Thanks for looking in.

We had very nice weather all day on Tues picking away at shorts, with everyone catching, on every drift and a few keeper fluke in the morning. Lots of room on the boat and we were able to fish one side although some went to the other which we give the option of. Same thing in the afternoon but the action was slower and Sean got the only keeper. Will post pics later and we are sailing today, Weds, and tomorrow, Thurs but not Friday. Thanks for looking in.

The winds kicked up on Sunday morning but we were able to stay where we wanted until the tide change. Picked at shorts but only a few keeper fluke with Rich taking the pool. In the afternoon the tide(current) was against the wind so we stayed in the bay catching only a few shorts. When it slowed up we ventured out but it was a little rolly. Picked better and got a keeper for the pool. this morning we picked away at the the shorts every drift and got a few keeper fluke with Todd taking the pool. Not enough showed up to make the afternoon trip I guess because of the forecast. Still sailing two trips every day and here are a few pics. Thanks for looking in.

We headed out to the area we have been fishing but the conditions were not the best with wind one way and the current perpendicular to it causing the lines to gt to the back or front, we cal it a slider. I controlled it the best as I could with the engines and we had a great first drift with lots of short action and a keeper fluke. As the current slowed up it made for a straighter drift and we picked at the fish but only one other keeper came up. In the afternoon we had another good first drift again boating 3 keeper fluke along with short action with one man catching 2 of the keepers. It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon with shorts all around and a few more keepers. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics, afternoon first.
