Tues/Weds 7/28/29 reports

The weather people scared everyone one on Tues as we went out  with a small group in the morning but did not make the afternoon. Only a few keeper fluke along with the shorts and other fish on a nice morning. On Weds we had a good turnout and better fishing with double digits in keeper fluke and good short action. The afternoon was not as good with strong southerly winds that would have made the drift too fast where we were fishing the morning but we did catch some fish. Here are some pics and thanks for looking in.

Sunday /Monday 7/26- 27 a bounce back

We did not get a lot of keepers on Sunday, just a couple in the morning but it was better in the afternoon as we boated a few more. The afternoons have not been bad and the temps have been cooler with the breeze and sometimes better drifting conditions. Today we went out with only a hand full of fishermen and it was a really nice day weather wise. Picked at shorts but only a couple of keeper fluke. Had  much better turnout in the afternoon and the fishing was better also. Sean lead the afternoon with his limit of 3 keeper fluke and the pool, (after I gave him a little lesson about hooking them). Bob Caputo also had two nice keepers and a few other singles around the boat. As of now, you will only need to make reservations for groups of 4 or more during the week, but don't need to if you just want to come down, unless you want to make them. On weekends it is strongly suggested, it's only a phone call. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Sat 7/25 Back in the game

Had a nice gang this morning and we went to where we have been fishing and made a couple of drifts to only catch shorts, dogfish and robins. We did have a nice porpoise show around the boat but I think it spooked the fish. Moved to another area and picked away at the the fluke with some keepers coming aboard. The cow nose rays did get to be annoying at times, but we got through it. Ended up with over double digits in keepers which is good for these times with chicken Mike taking the pool. We worked another area in the afternoon since the drift would not have been good where we were in the morning,(a slider) where the lines go strait to the front or back. We picked away at shorts but did boat a few nice keeper fluke with Danny taking the pool from the group of guys he brought and the rest of the boat. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Weds & Fri reports, 7/22 & 24

The fishing on Weds was slow  with only a couple of keeper fluke boated on both trips along with the short fluke and other species we caught. Not enough showed up to go out on Thursday, either trip, but we did make it out today on both trips. Had a nice morning picking away at the fish, boating almost double digits in keepers, which is good for these days. Mike Walsh got his 3 fish limit and the pool (biggest fish). The rain held off  until the end of the morning and the beginning of the afternoon trip.  We started off with  nice keeper by a  young man, Jake Cohen, who was out the other day with his family, that ended up being the pool fish. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics, today's pool winners first , don't forget your masks and reservations, especially on weekends.
