We decided to head to a another area after yesterday's fishing, and it turned out worse. Weather was great but the catching was not as we only caught a few fish and then went back to where we caught half our fish the day before but no good. We believe the fish are spawning and not eating, in fact their stomachs have been empty. Back at to tomorrow and hope for the best, after all it is fishing. We went out with a decent gang but of course the fishing was not as good but we did put fish in the boat and threw back the overs. Eddie took the pool with a 36" striper and both Adam and Hose boated 3 each with other fish around the boat on gorgeous day on the water. Its not easy fishing and those that work at it get the results. Here are some pics and will post the rest later. Thanks for looking in and sailing every day now.
We went out with another small group, ten to be exact, and had a very good fishing boating 7 keepers and a few overs on the first drift. It was easy to limit out on keeper stripers by 10:30 and it was so nice that were not a lot of boats around like on the weekend. Picked most of the morning until the tide slowed up and then went looking only to end up where we started to catch a few more. Back at it tomorrow morning and everyday, sailing @ 7:30 AM. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics, some multiple because guys caught more than on like Adam who took the pool with a 38" beauty, one of his 14 that he boated.
We went out with a surprisingly very light crowd, for a Sunday, of our regulars and had a good day fishing close to the dock, with Scott boating 10 stripers, keepers and overs to 36". A little on the cool side but a nice day on the water and everyone went home with fish. Back at it tomorrow and everyday sailing at 7:30 AM. Don't miss the bite and hope to see you on the boat. Went out today, Saturday,(been getting the days and dates wrong) with a small group and tried where we had good fishing last week and fair fishing yesterday. After doing a few drifts, and catching a few, we decided to take a ride to where they had better fishing yesterday. We did catch fish but not as good as we expected and apparentlly bit was not as good as yesterday's fishin back there. Caught more fish but not as many keepers as most were over the size limit but its fishing and catching that counts. Big Mike C got the pool with one of his 3, a 41" beauty, and another guy also had 3. It is nice to have good fisherpeople on board as it makes a difference in the catch. It was a chilly day on the water once the southerly breeze picked up but the folks worked hard to put a few fish in the boat. Mostly keepers (28 -31") and a few overs that had to be safely released. Sailing every day now, weather and people permitting @ 7:30 AM - about 2:30. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.
