Sat 5/31 Not sailing this afternoon

Only a few showed up for the morning so we did not go out, and I'm glad we did not. Going to be windy with possible showers all day, if they got it right, so we are cancelling the afternoon trip. Thanks for looking in see you tomorrow.

Thurs/Fri Fluke reports 5/29 & 30

A couple of  tough days with not many fluke moving in with the cold temps. We did put a few keeper fluke in the boat both days but it was not easy. Picking at mostly shorts and not many other fish and the weather was not great on top of it. Today, Don did manage to get his limit of 3 on the afternoon trip with only a handful of fisherman to  go out. But we only a managed a handful of keepers both trips with the short action. Hopefully with wart temps coming things will change. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Weds 5/28 Another decent morning for fluke, Sailing tom Thurs.

We got with just enough after getting a few from another boat. Got lucky putting some keeper fluke and  shorts in the boat early and then tried some other areas but the drift got too fast. Couple of guys had 2 and some one along with the shorts but it was not fast action. John took the pool with a 3.75lb fish, one of his two. The weather was very nice until we light rain at the end of the morning. Of course no one showed up for the afternoon trip but we will be going out tomorrow, Thurs for our one 6 hr trip @ 8 AM. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Tues 5/27 Better but not great - Sailing tomorrow, Weds

I decided to work some different areas and we did catch more keeper fluke along with the shorts but not great action. Some dog fish sharks, witch I don't like seeing, and skates mixed in. Whats not good is the areas that usually hold a lot of shorts do not.  Hopefully another wave of fish move into the bay and the action improves. Bill took the pool with a 5.35 lber and high hook had 2, with single keeper fluke around the boat. We will be sailing tomorrow morning and MAYBE the afternoon if enough people show up as the forecast is rain in the afternoon. Thanks for looking in and check our schedule before coming down for an afternoon trip. Here are some pics.

Sun/Mon 5/25 & 26 Fluke update - remembering our Heroes, Thank you

First let me thank those who have served and those that are no longer with us. The fishing has not been up to par with mostly shorts and only a  few keeper fluke the last couple of days. Looks like some more fish are moving in and hope we get  reprieve. Started looking in other areas, going out farther than we normally do, but not much improvement so we will start looking to other areas. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics of some of the fish.

Fri/Sat 5/22 & 23 Fluke reports, Not like Tues

On Friday morning we picked at the fish slowly, mostly short fluke and some keepers mixed in even though conditions we not bad, just a slow drift. On the afternoon trip the conditions were better but the fishing was not. Today we had strong westerly winds so we only made a couple of drifts whee we have been fishing but did not stay with the rolling around. Went to where it was much nicer but only caught a few more, including a 4.4 lber. Told a few people that called we were not going in the afternoon then decided if enough showed would go, but advised against it, but not enough showed up anyway. Sorry  if we inconvenienced anyone that made the trip down. Back at it tomorrow and hopefully the winds let up. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

Two trips, @ 8 AM and again @ 1:30 PM fishing for Fluke.  Monday is our one 6 hr trip, as is Tues and Thurs, the other days are the 2 half day trips. Thanks for looking in and hope to see you on the boat.

Tues 5/20 After a disapointing Monday - it Was ok today but not sailing the next two days

Today turned out much better than I expected as the winds decreased and the fish got hungry. Perfect conditions to fish where we wanted so we picked at them but very slowly, not a lot of short action but more keepers then I expected. Other than being a little chilly, especially on the shady breezy side, it was nice on the water. Not going to try and sail the next two days with the rain and wind forecast but we will see what happens for Friday. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Mon 5/19 Back on line, updates with pics

Sorry I could not do reports the last few days but my phone line for the internet was out and was not sure how to do it from my phone until yesterday. Anyway fishing(catching) has been up and down. Friday was ok but with the big gang on Saturday, it was not with not drift in the morning. The afternoon was better and we even tried a few new areas that did not pan out.  Sunday was the opposite with high winds and it got rolly. We did put some fish in the boat on both trips but it was not nice, even though we were in the bay. After all the wind yesterday and this morning, today's fishing was not up to par as we only caught a few keeper and some shorts, even with plenty of drift, but the water was very muddy, I can only blame that. Thanks for looking in and here are a bunch of pics. Sailing our 6 hr trip tomorrow from 8 AM - 2 but not sure about Weds or Thurs with the rain and wind forecast.
