Sat 10/14 Still there

    We started where we caught fish on Friday bur other boats were there and could not get to the right spot and only caught a few. Moved to the out side (ocean) where it was a little uncomfortable and made a couple of drops but didn't  connect until the last one and we got a good shot of fish,  maybe the change of tide. Everyone went home with fish  for dinner and some. the afternoon trip was much better making only one drop and picking away at fish the whole time. There is still a roll , swell in the ocean, not rough but if you are prone to motion sickness , take a pill, like dramamine or bonine before you come. Friday the thirteenth

    We were the only boat to shape up and try to go out and we did get enough fishermen to go.  Cloudy, breezy and cool and the ocean was not nice. We did, however,manage to put a decent catch together with some nice big porgies and a few small black fish with these three gentlemen showing off their cooler full .Not enough showed up for the afternoon trip but back at it this morning. Also, 2 reminders, we will only be sailing the morning trips on week days this week and PLEASE remember to check for your belongings when you leave the boat as one of the those guys left a sweatshirt with his wallet and cell phone. Someone  did get in touch with me last nite for it thank god. Thanks for looking in and hope to see you on the dock. Sailing Friday

   Not sure what it will be like out there tomorrow but we will give it a shot. Looks like there will still be some seas but hopefully  the morning should be be ok with the incoming tide. Give me a call tomorrow if you are coming in the afternoon and I will let you know how it is. Thanks for looking in.

Tues/Weds reports - still good

   We got out on both trips on Tuesday and on Weds morning with very good porgy fishing Nobody sailed the afternoon and nobody went out today with the strong East winds. Not sure about tomorrow, Friday,as the winds will still be blowing and the ocean won't be nice, let you know later after the updated forecast. Here are some pics and thanks for looking in. Sailing two trips daily, weather permitting, through Sunday 10/15 and then we will be sailing only the morning trips on the weekdays, two trips on weekends.

Monday 10/9 Weather not good but fishiing was

    Not many down but we scraped enough to go out, cloudy and breezy out of the south. Thankfully the tide (current) was with the wind so it was not as bad as it could have been as it would have been in the afternoon so we did not even try going out on the afternoon trip. It also started raining as we were coming in but the morning was good with a steady pick of mostly keeper porgies and some jumbos. Today looks nice and tomorrow morning should be ok, but not sure about the afternoon as the east wind will kick up. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics from the trip. Sat/ Sun reports

   We made it out both trips on Saturday with good fishing again, the morning being  better, fishing and the weather as the wind kicked up  and it turned a little ugly. The weatherman scared the people on Sunday so not enough showed in the morning and we did not try in the afternoon. We will be on the dock this morning ready to go but will punt on this afternoon with the  rain coming with some wind. Tomorrow, Tuesday looks good, and we will see from there. Thanks for looking in and a reminder that this will be our last week(weekdays anyway) running the after noon trips. Still two trips on the weekends and next week starting Monday,  will be mornings only unless you can get a group together, then give me a call.

Wed - Fri reports - 17 inch 3 lb giant

     We only got out on Weds morning with not enough but went any way and again on Thurs afternoon. Fishing and weather are still great but the turn out is not, I don't get it. We got our biggest porgy of the season just shy of 3 lbs and 17 inches long on Thurs afternoon. We also got(went) out both trips today with continued good fishing. With these turnouts looks like next week will be last week for 2 trips on weekdays ( will keep weekends for another week) and don't think about coming don't on a rainy day because not enough patrons are showing up on nice days.
