Vet day Monday - The best one yet

We had our best day fishing so far boating over a hundred fish with only 15 fishermen on board, and we never had to leave our bay fishing ten minutes from the dock.  Everyone went home with a bonus fish but with all those fish we could not get one over 28", but a few close ones. Shads out fished the jigs so bring them and a spinning rod along with a conventional for jigging in deeper water if we have to. Did not sail today and will not sail tomorrow, Weds, but Thurs and Friday look good. As of now we will stay fishing for stripers because the weekend does not look good for fishing the ocean with strong NE winds and rough seas. I know Saturday the opening of keeping 5  blackfish but we will hold off till some time next week, so stay posted or give me call. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Sunday 11/10 Another good one

We started off the morning riding around, looking where we had fish yesterday, but then came upon some fish in another area. Picked at some shorts and slot (bonus fish) which we have tags for (24 - 28 ").  Decent action after that but only bonus fish and shorts. At least everyone on board when home with a fish and had some action. Sailing every day, weather permitting, if not sure give me a call. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Sat 11/09 grand finale

We started off in the bay with a report to catch a slot fish (24 -28") which we have bonus tags for and a nice keeper @ 36 ". The life died so we ventured south where the other boats were to catch a  few shorts and a slot or two. We went back to to where we started and caught a few more slots, shorts and a another keeper at 39". Then the birds went crazy and we jumped in as the other boats were heading in and had a nice grand finale with shorts and slots (bonus fish) to end the afternoon with almost a limit of slot fish.  Most went home with dinner. Stayed late but it was worth it having the action and putting few in the boat. Thanks for looking in and hope to see you soon. Here are a few pics of some of the fish.

Thurs 11/7 - Not as good but Stripers and bonitos

We did not have the life or action that we had yesterday but did catch slots(bonus fish),  shorts and a keeper along with some bonitos. We WILL be sailing tomorrow, Friday, as they lowered the wind forecast  and as long as enough people show up. It will be on the chilly side so dress warm but we do have a heated cabin, thanks for looking in and hope to see the hardy in the morning. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

Weds 11/6 Good all day bite and limited out & pics

We had a good bite from the get go catching fish on almost every drift. Limited out on bonus fish (between 24 -28") and threw some of those back fish back along with some shorts but did catch a a nice 35 '' fish for the pool. Everyone went home with fish. Be prepared if you come with jigs, shads and plugs and a  spinner along with a heavier conventional rod. Jigs worked best in the morning but the shads and plugs did better when the fish were on top. Come down and bring some friends as we are NOT crowded. Thanks for looking in, here are some pics

Sunday 11/3 Great start and good ending

On a cold morning that we are not used to we headed out and tried a drift on some readings but n g. As we left the area mate Jimmy spotted birds behind us so we turned around and game on. Picked on a few drifts with mostly shorts but some slot fish  (between 24 -28" that we have bonus tags for) in the mix. We had some good action for an hour and half. Then it was over so we looked around for a while trying a few different areas. Finally at the end of the day we came across more birds working and boated a few more slot fish and some shorts. Over all not a bad day. Back at it tomorrow but not sailing Tuesday , 11/5. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics but something wrong with the camera.

Sat 11/2 tough start

We made our first striper trip with only a small group and worked hard to catch a few shorts and a couple of would be slots if we were in NJ but we were in  NY waters . Sounds like all the party boats had a tough day with keepers but we will be back at it tomorrow. If you are not sure what type of lures to get ask  the mate or myself  in the morning and we will point you in the right direction. Thanks for looking in and here are few pics.
