Monday 7/24 fluke report

     First drift we picked at  some shorts and a couple of keeper fluke along with other fishes. By the end of the day we caught a few more keeper fluke and shorts, etc. Nice day on the water but the breeze picked up in the afternoon against the drift so it made it tougher but we still put together a catch of  keeper fluke and had some action. At least the breeze made it very comfortable and a nice afternoon.  Billy got the pool in the afternoon adding to his fish in the AM. The fishing(catching) has not been good but no reason to come out and enjoy a day one the water with some friends and/or some beverages. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics. 

Sunday 7/3 Pics

    Like I was saying the conditions make all the difference and they were good in the AM but not in the PM with wind against the current. Here are the pics and  thanks for looking in.

Sunday 7/23 Conditions ! Good AM but fair PM

      We had a nice morning picking at shorts and a decent amount of keepers with nice drifting conditions. Afternoon not as good with wind against the current. Full report and pics tomorrow, sorry I have a life too. Thanks for looking in. 

Fri/Sat 7/21 & 22 reports, what a difference a day makes

     The weather people scared off the fishing people so we really did not have enough to go in the AM on Fri but we did, but the afternoon had a better turnout. The fishing (catching ) was not good but  old Artie managed 2 keepers and the pool on Friday and did it again on Sat afternoon with one of his two keepers again. On the morning trip on Sat all the boats had a good turnout, although the weather was very nice the conditions were not with wind against the current, therefore no drift. Jerry Mahoney took the poo in the AM, miracles do happen, just kidding. The afternoon conditions were much better and we had much more action and  more keeper fluke, but still not enough. Thurs 7/20 A memorial and good fishing

     We had a large group show up to commemorate Capt Stan of the Elaine B II's passing, along with other regulars. Had a good catch of keeper fluke and a pick at shorts in the morning. Dennis took the pool in the morning as others had 2 nice keeper fluke, some with one or just shorts. On the afternoon trip the wind came up against the current and it made it tough to keep a straight drift but we did catch some keeper fluke and shorts along with some sea bass, not as good though. Todd took the afternoon pool. We will be here to go out today hoping enough show up with the forecast. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics of some of the fish.
