Weds/ Thurs 6/18 &19 From cool to hot - come early

     On Weds we went up to where we caught the fish on Tues but only managed a few keepers with the shorts we caught. On the afternoon trip we stayed more local and actually caught more keepers but still not good. Today we started off ok catching keepers and short fluke, then went exploring but did not find many more keeper fluke but we did come across some sea bass to take home as today is the last day before the season closes tomorrow. With tomorrow being the other half of the holiday you may want to get to the boat early as we may be busy. Saturday, most of the boats are chartered so come early especially  if you have a few people with you. Not taking reservations and as always cash only. Tues 6/17 Kristen, showed up grandpa Gary again

     I'm sure grandpa Gary won't like this, but grand daughter Kristen showed him up AGAIN, really Gary, good for her. She boated two nice keeper fluke along with shorts as we went out with only enough to go and had nice day despite the fog and bad forecast, as did Jim getting his two keeper fluke. A few other keepers boated along with a decent amount of short action. Back at it tomorrow but on the half day schedule, sailing @8AM and again @ 1:30PM (Weds, Fri, Sat and Sun). Monday 6/16 Best trip of the week and weekend fluke report

    First, I did not get a chance to wish you a happy father's day yesterday, hope you had a good one. Tough fishing on the weekend with the weather and we only made the morning trips, not enough for the afternoon with the not nice weather. Only a few keepers and some shorts over the weekend,but we had the best trip of the week today. Good short action and a decent amount of keeper fluke with several guys getting two but no limits. Back at it tomorrow, 8AM - 2PM, dress warm and bring foul weather gear as it was not raining but a heavy mist. Thanks for looking in land here are some pics from today and weekend.

 

 

Fri 6/13 fluke report - Sunday is father's day

     We had a good turnout and nice weather but it was still a tough struggle to put some keeper fluke into the boat. Mostly short fluke and skates, dog fish but only  couple of sea robins, that used to be annoying. We did manage a few keepers on both trips with Ben taking the pool in the AM and teacher Bob in the PM. Sunday is father's day and it can be very busy if the weather is nice so get down early especially if you have a few people with you and want to be together. As busy restaurants do, you must all be present to board that day. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

 

Thurs 6/12 Another one for the Fluke, still not good

     We had another tough one trying to catch fluke as we tried different areas. Conditions were not the best but we did get a drift after a while. Finally found some fish at the end of the day as we picked at shorts and some keeper fluke. Gary showed up everyone, by catching his limit and taking the pool with one of his 3, but we only ended up with a handful of keepers. Back at it tomorrow with more nice weather so see what happens. Do not give up when it's slow and try different things, take note of what is working. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

 

 

Weds 6/11 Nice day

     It was a beautiful day on the water so we tried a different area but no good.  went to a another area and did have a decent drift picking at shorts and a few keeper fluke, but could not repeat it. Got another keeper a few shorts in another area but still not good. Abby topped her dad to win the AM pool. On the afternoon trip, went to where a we caught a few in the AM but no good. Ended up with only a few keeper fluke for the afternoon, with Hassan taking the PM pool, still a struggle and a challenge. Either its the moon or just not enough fish moving in, but not giving up yet. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

 

 

Tues 6/10 Fluke and weather report

     None of the boats sailed on Monday the strong easterly winds and rain but we did get out Tues, the only boat by combining the few down from all the boats. My app took the rain out of the forecast but it should have left it in as we had showers all day. It started off slow but we id find an area where we picked at shorts and a few nice keepers along with skates and dog fish. Sailing every day so check out our schedule before coming down. Fathers day is Sunday, which can be busy but who knows with the forecast now. We do have gift certificates available on the boat or by mail. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.
