Sat 11/29 Much better but had to take a ride, Shaping up tomorrow but...

    After a tough Turkey day, glad the turkey was not, and taking a pass on Friday with the winds, we were not sure what to expect. Most boats went to where the fish were caught on Friday but apparently bombed out (we are all good fishermen). We went to where we heard there was a lot o life, and there were birds like  swarm of bees but hard to catch. Put a few in the boat, shorts and a keeper. The life died so we had to go into search mode but farther and farther away from the dock. By the end of the day we put a few more keeper stripers into the boat along with shorts and overs. Adam was high hook with 5 as we had fish to 35" (2) that tied for the pool. W will be there to go out in the morning despite the rain forecast AS LONG AS ENOUGH SHOW UP, NOT GOING WITH A HANDFUL. However we may not be able to go where we caught them today with the wind forecast. Monday looks like better day but not sailing Tuesday. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics. 

 

 

Sailing Sat 11/29 Took a pass on today

   Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving, I'm sure it was better than the fishing. Tough day for everyone and the windy and rough conditions did not help, even though they usually like that weather. Today the forecast was for stronger winds so we did not even try. Back at it tomorrow and see what the weather brings for Sunday, if its raining not enough will show up so we will play it by ear. thanks for checking in.

Weds 11/26 Good fishing all day long - limiting out - Sailing tomorrow, Thanksgiving

      Did not know what to expect heading out today but thankfully the fish and birds were there and we caught fish, almost all day long. Limiting out on keepers and bonus fish, but only had to throw a few back. We are sailing tomorrow, Thanksgiving half day form 7:30AM - 12, but NOT on Friday, black Friday with the wind forecast, but every day after that weather permitting. Tues 11/25 The opposite, dead AM and good PM grand finale comback

      Went out this morning hoping for a good day with a bunch of regulars only to find an ocean with not much life. Scattered bird lift but not much going on, especially for us. Heard of a few caught here and there but not us that made it very frustrating. Towards the end of the day the life picked up and the fish got hungry, if we could have caught what we saw could have gone in early, but we did end up putting a catch together, quite a few with their 2 fish limit of a keeper and bonus fish like Donata, who also got the pool again, and the only girl on the boat, come on guys. But we did have to put in some overtime. Back at it tomorrow and Turkey day, but not looking good for Friday with the winds. Thanks for looking and here are some pics.

 

 

Mon 11/24 Nice start that ended up fizzling

     Went out today hoping for a reprieve from yesterdays debockle with all the boat traffic and found a load of bird life and fish splashing that were not that hungry but we did manage to put some into the boat, keepers, bonus fish, some shorts and some very nice overs to 38" like the one by Dan that won the pool, longest overall now for the pool. It was a nice morning until the tide change and things got quiet. It was a little chilly but we do have a large heated cabin for your comfort. Did a lot of looking, catching one here and there. At least we got a little whale show with 2 of them coming around. Maybe that's why the stripers shut off. Sailing tomorrow and every day including Thanksgiving, 1/2 day special that day,  however keep an eye on the weather for Friday, may be too windy. give me a call on Thurs eve. Sunday 11/23 Not fun day with the boats- A lot of boats

      Went out today and it looked like jaws with all the boats going to catch stripers in our area which had been producing. If one bird hit the water, 20 boats were on top f it, so it was a struggle to catch  fish, but we did put Keepers, unders, overs and a few that we kept as bonus fish into the boat. Back at ti in the morning, hopefully without the boats, ridiculous.  Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics. 

 

Sat 11/22 Not as good as yesterday, back at tomorrow

     We put a few keepers and bonus fish in the boat early but did not do much after that, just one here and there. Ran all over the place to where we caught them yesterday but it did not pan out, just one of those days so we will be back at it tomorrow with a vengeance. Hope to see you on the boat and here are some pics with a couple from yesterday.

 

Fri 11/21 Another good one today- sailing tomororow

    Not too many showed up today, thought we would have more but they missed out. Caught half our fish on the first two drifts and picked at the fish all day long fishing close to the dock. Everyone went home with a fish or two on a very nice day, with Donata taking the pool with her 39" beauty, one of the few she caught. Couple of people had a slow start but came on at the end. Back at it tomorrow and don't let the showers forecast stop you from fishing when its good. Hopefully there will be less traffic out there, so hope to see you on the boat.
