Fri/Sat 8/29 & 30 Fluke reports again - Now one trip on Fridays

     After doing the report last night I hit a button that erased everything and was not going to try it again so here it is. We are still picking away at the  fish, mostly short fluke and other fish along with a few keeper fluke but not as many as we like. We are a little restricted as to where we can go with our time schedule but try to  make the best of it. We are now taking Fridays off the 2 trip  half day schedule and will run the one 6 hr trip. Just a short update and here are some pics from  the last two days. Thanks for looking in.

 

Thurs 8/28 Ain't over till it's over - don't quit early

     We had a nice turnout of folks, some regulars and some newbies, and was hoping for a repeat of yesterday (afternoon), and in one way it was but like the morning. Very slow drift in the morning but we plugged away picking at some shorts and a few very nice keepers, as Rick's fish was the pool until the end. Tried a few other areas only to catch a couple more keepers and back to square one but mother nature was fighting us the whole way with no drift. Tried a one last hail Mary drift, but we already had a decent amount of keeper fluke, for the way this season has been, and had a nice shot of a few more keepers at  the end. Gary got his limit and Ed and a couple got their two along with the singles around the boat. 4 of the fish were over 4 lbs, and it ended up being a a good fun day. Weds 8/27 CONDITONS ! Good PM not so AM

     We went to where we had good fishing (catching) yesterday,  fishing is always good, but not good conditions and catching as we had wind against the tide, (current). Picked at the short fluke and other fish, but not enough keepers for the nice group we had. The tide was different in the afternoon and we had great conditions, so please don't ask if morning is better than the afternoon cause it all depends on conditions. Making long drifts we picked away at short fluke and a good amount of keepers shared around the boat not just a few super stars catching all the fish. Some with two, as one couple had a competition, and some one  and good action. It ended up being a very nice afternoon, and it was nice seeing faces I have not seen in a while. Double digits plus in keeper fluke, not bad on a half day trip. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

 

Tues 8/26 Thanks for listening, good turnout & good fishing

    We had a nice turnout of fishermen and ladies, mostly regulars, and we were happy to please them with a beautiful day on the water and fish to boot, when does that happen? Thanks for NOT listening to the weather people. It is so nice when things come together. Even though it was our longer day we stayed more local and glad we did. A decent amount of action of short fluke and other fish with a decent amount of keeper fluke. Jamie took the pool as we had double digits in keeper fluke and a great time  on the water.
