Weds 12/28 report Good for some

    It was a lot nicer than Monday weather wise though   did have breeze from the N W but not a rough ocean. Picked away at shorts (blackfish) and a few keepers on every drop and by the end of the day we had a decent catch but not for every one on board. At least two limits (6) on down. some 4, 3 and some with only shorts. None of the boats up here sailed yesterday or today but we will be giving it a shot tomorrow (Sat), Sunday (New Years day) and Monday if the weather holds out. Hope to see you on the dock and thanks for looking in. Hope all had a nice holiday and want to wish all a Happy, Healthy and safe New Year.    Just a quick note that we will not be going out tomorrow ,Thursday  or Friday as of now. Will post a full report later with pics. Thanks for looking in.

Mon 12/26 WTF not nice

     The forecast was not bad but the weather was. 10 - 15 kt winds turned out to be 20-25 from the ENE, not a good direction.  Once we hit the ocean we had to go out at a reduced speed, and even anchored up it was not nice. Picked at the shorts with some keepers mixed in as we shifted around on one spot.  Before making another drop, I decided to have the mate to ask everyone if they wanted to stay out or go in  early but apparently he didn't, saying all were in agreement to go in. Sorry about that, but it really was not nice.  Tomorrow, Weds,  looks good as does Thurs. Here are only a couple of pics and hope to see you on the dock soon. Weather permitting we will be sailing through Jan 2, including New Years day.

Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah Tog 12/25

   Made it out with a small group this morning and picked at the shorts on one drop then moved and started catching some nice fish. Not a lot in numbers but some beauties to about 8 lbs with some catching 4, 3 on down. Beautiful day on the water and even saw a couple of whales on the way out. Tomorrow looks good but not Tuesday, so hope to see you on the dock and thanks for looking in. Here are a few pics.

Thurs 12/22 not as nice

    Went out today and the winds picked up to 20-25 with gusts to 30, not good out of the SSW.  It was not nice but we did pick fish but mostly shorts with a  few keepers. Made a few drops but it was not comfortable as the wind went west and we laid side to the sea. Some got a few keepers and some not but tomorrow looks a lot better. Just a couple of pics so hope to see you on the dock and thanks for looking in. Sailing every day, weather permitting, including Christmas and New Years day, if you are not sure just give me call. A good rule of thumb is we do not sail in winds over 30 mph or temps below 30.

Weds 12/21 Finally got out

    More people showed then called witch is a good thing and we had a nice ocean to fish on. Light NW breeze made it a little chilly but we picked away at shorts and enough keepers to make it interesting. By the end of the day we had a limit, Irish Kevin G, on down with several fisher people ( couple of ladies on board) with to 3 to 5 keepers on down to a couple that only caught shorts but everyone had a good time. Here are a few pics and sailing every day through and including New Years day. Christmas day we will be sailing a 7:30 to 1:30 trip. Hope to see you soon and if not have a Happy Holiday.

Tues 12/20 Not today but tomorrow...

    We did not expect much of a turn out today and there wasn't.  I only went down to try and get out because  I did have a couple of calls. Looks like tomorrow will be the day as I know of a few guys coming down and the weather looks good with some warmer temps.  The rest of the week also looks good and the weekend even warmer. Hope to see you on the boat tomorrow and thanks for looking in.

Mon 12/19 update

    With the weather the past few days, none of the boats have sailed since Weds.  We will be there shaping up tomorrow but the rest of the week looks better. If the weather looks good on Christmas day we will run a 7:30 - 1 pm trip.  Hope to see you soon and thanks for looking in.

Tuesday 12/14 Oh Well

    We tried to sail today but not enough showed up even though this will be the last decent day until next week. I do not think any boats will be sailing from our port until next week with the bitter cold temps the next two days and the rain/wind forecast for the weekend.  We will also have white (leggers) crabs available on the boat and will be sailing through and including New Years day, Christmas day too, WEATHER permitting. Please call ahead to save a trip down. Here are some pics from yesterdays catch not including the limit catch by Earl, who fished since we only had a handful of people.

12/13 Nice day - sorry for the late post

     Unbelievable nice day today for mid December.  Light winds and calm seas, you should have been there. Picked away at shorts and keepers mixed in with a high hook of a limit and others with 4 or 5 on down. Tomorrow looks good but Thus and Fri do not, we will see what the weekend will be. Sunday 12/11 report - cold but nice

     We did have enough to go out today and from what I hear we did not miss anything the past week. Not nice on Weds and Thurs, nobody went out on Friday, and it was breezy and cold yesterday.  We picked at shorts with some keepers mixed in with a couple of guys getting 4 or 5 and some one or two, but at least it was calm with no wind until the last couple of hours. Tues 12/6 Some nice fish

     We did not make it out on Monday with only a couple of anglers showing, but we did go out today with only a few. Caught fish on every spot and everyone caught and went home with keepers. Wayne got his limit of  keepers and the pool (6 lbs), Jim with 4 and some with only one or two with a couple of others close to 6 lbs. We will not be going out tomorrow, Weds but will try again on Thurs. Friday also does not look good, but weekend does look ok, but it will be colder. Here are a few pics and thanks for looking in.

Sunday 12/4 report

     Went out today but it was a little breezy in the morning and  eventually died down.  Picked away at shorts but not too many keepers (Back fish). Moved on and did start catching some keeper black fish but just enough to stay with. Went to a couple of other stops with the same results. All in all just a fair day even with putting extra time in. High hook about 5 keeper black fish on down to some with 3, 2 and on down.  Shaping up tomorrow so hope enough show up. Thanks for looking in and see you soon. Here are a few pics.

Friday 12/2 Good fishing but not nice

    We went out today even though there was only a few patrons, but it was not as nice as I thought it would be. Apparently we did much better then some boats with guys catching 4 and 5 keeper blackfish on down. We did also have a good short action bite to keep every one busy. Tomorrow does not look good because of the wind forecast so if you can,  wait until Sunday cause we may not be going out. Here are only a couple of pics, why I don't know, so see you on Sunday.
