Thurs 7/28 Decent AM & A limit in the PM

On the morning trip we again had a slow drift but picked slowly at he fish, a few keeper fluke, shorts, dogfish, skates, along with a couple of cow nose sting rays. As the drift picked up so did the catching as we saw more keepers and shorts end up with double digits. Mel took the pool in the morning and came back out with husband Ken to catch another keeper while Ken got his limit and the pool. Back at it today and don't let the weather people scare you as they have been wrong most of the time. Here are some pics with the afternoon ones first, thanks for looking in.

Weds 7/27 Ok AM too fast PM

Had a nice group in the morning but started off slow with a slow drift and pick but managed a few keepers on the first drift. along with the the dogfish and some shorts. Worked another area and had a little better fishing(catching) so the morning was not bad relatively speaking. On the afternoon trip it started off ok until the drift got too fast and we saw less. Sailing two trips every day, 7 days, @ 8 AM and again @ 1:30 PM. NO reservations needed but if you  have a bigger group just come down early, especially on weekends and allow for the beach traffic. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Mon/Tues reports 7/25 & 26

Got out on both trips on Monday despite the weatherman's forecast the that was WRONG, no rain or thunderstorms. The catching was not good but did manage a few fluke along with dogfish a etc. Nicer day on Tues and we caught more fish, not good but better. Hopefully the cooler temps this week will bring down the water temps and get the fish eating. Here are some pics of the keepers and thanks for looking in.

SUNday 7/24 Nice AM with a breeze but...

We had a nice breeze in the morning with one side being nice and the other a little warm but we do turn the boat around on every drift. Slow pick with some shorts and dogfish but some keeper fluke were boated. Had a bought with some cow nose rays that always raise havoc on one drift but the kids got a kick out of see them. The breeze picked up on the way in but not enough showed up to go out and personally I would rather be out on the water then on land in this heat. Here are some pics and hope to see you in morning, afternoon not looking good but we WILL be there to go out as long as enough people show up.

Sat 7/23 Warm AM and nice PM but not alot of people

I expected a better turnout this morning but who can figure that more came on a week day than weekend.  Had good action but with mostly dogfish (sand sharks as some call them) and some shorts but Brian did manage to get his fluke limit of three. On the afternoon trip we only had enough to fish one side of  the boat but the wind made the drift fast but it was also nice. We did boat a few keepers on a nice afternoon, along with some short fluke and big porgy. Sailing two trips every day and no reservations needed, but if you have a bigger group came early so we can get you together. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Thurs/Fri 7/21 & 22 In memory of Capt Stan-Elaine B II and better today

We had a special trip for the passing of Capt. Stan Zagleski Jr of the Elaine B II, one year ago, on Thurs that was open to the public but most of his regulars took up half the boat. Tony the fluke man did a great job as did Mel and Ken and some of the others serving lots of food and we had a moment of silence. The Fishing (catching) was not up to par with only a few fish being caught unfortunately. That afternoon trip was only a little better but the southerly breeze made it comfortable. Much Better fishing today as we went to other areas and put some more fish in the boat on both trips. Back at it tomorrow so thanks for looking in and here are some pics. Any questions, feel free to give me a call on the phone as I will always answer unless I'm busy.
