Weds 6/16 Nice day !

We had beautiful weather but a little breezy which against the tide(current), slowed the drift down so we couldn't cover the area. With the fish being spread out you need to cover the ground, but not too fast. On the afternoon trip the drift was much better and we caught a few more fish. Just a few keepers along with  shorts for  the day with Paul Gamba leading the way with his two. Sailing 7 days, 2 trips so come join us for a nice day on the water. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

Tuesday 6/15 A surprise

There were two surprises on Tues, first we did not go out with not enough showing up in the morning, thank you weatherman. It turned out to be a beautiful day but we did make the afternoon trip. Picked at some shorts in different areas and finally got a few keepers. On one drift we also boated two keeper striped bass. Sailing 2 trips every day@ 8 AM and again @ 1:30 PM. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics from the last two afternoons.

Sund/Mon reports

There was a surprising low turnout for a Sunday morning as we picked at shorts a little better and some keeper fluke. In the afternoon the wind kicked up we we could only fish our bay with those conditions. The catching was slower but we did have shorts and a few keepers around the boat. One of my long time customers. Stu Melnick came out with his wife Barbara of 50 years and family to celebrate their anniversary. He topped it off by getting a keeper on the last drift, congratulations guys. The forecast scared everyone away on Monday morning with only one boat going out but we did get out in the afternoon with a small group. Wind again so we stayed local and did catch shorts and a few keepers. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics form Sunday. Don't forget Fathers day this Sunday, we have gift certificates available at he boat, but if you plan on coming, come early, as we are not taking reservations.

Sat 6/12 Whale of a day

It's not often that we see whales but we do sometimes, and to see one on both trips was incredible, amazing, not like the fishing. We are catching fish but not the numbers we should be. Even the short action is not up to par but at least it is something and we have the bay to fish if the ocean is too rough. Teacher Bob Sabo is on a roll getting a keeper and part of the pool two trips in a row. Sailing 2 trips, every day, so come enjoy the cool weather. Thanks for looking in nd here are some pics.

Friday 6/11 from t shirts to sweatshirts

A couple of days ago people were in tank tops and t-shirts and today it was sweatshirts. Cloudy and cool with easterly breezes but was a nice change. We could only get a couple of drifts in where we wanted to fish on the morning trip but it was a little rolly,  not rough. Picked at shorts and a keeper fluke before going to nicer waters to catch a few more. In the afternoon we caught some shorts but only a couple of keepers. Here are some pics and thanks for looking in. Sailing 2 trips every day.

Weds/Thurs 6/9 & 10 Is it luck ?

The fishing (catching) is pretty much the same, some days better than others with the short action and more keepers on some days. Computer was down yesterday morning so I couldn't do a report. Hassan showed his skills or luck with two nice keeper fluke Weds afternoon including a 4.5 lb pool fish. Thurs afternoon the winds kicked up so we were limited to where we could fish, but still put together a catch with Lina Grisi showing up her group with 4 shorts and a keeper to split the pool with Lenny. Sailing two trips, every day. Her are some pics and thanks for looking in.

Tues 6/8

It was another nice day on the water, warm in the first part of the morning but did get some breeze. Picked slowly at shorts and a few keeper fluke.  Did not make the afternoon trip with not enough showing up, guess because of the t storm forecast. Here are some pics and the rest of the pics from yesterday. Thanks for looking in.
