Update to 4/29 A little come back

 Since Monday we only got out yesterday and today. Was too late last night to do a report for yesterday but it was not that good. On the morning trip we did boat a couple of nice keepers, 12 & 19 lbs., with John taking the pool.  On the afternoon trip we only had a few shorts. This morning we bombed out but sounds like we were with  a lot of company. This afternoon we got a little lucky and caught a couple shorts and couple of nice keeper striped bass and 2 keeper black fish to 8 lbs. The two keeper blackfish and the pool winning striper all by Russ, his day today. Sailing every day, 2 trips @ 8 am and 1:30 pm. Here are a few pics and thanks for looking in.

4/27 update and almost John !

    We went out on Monday for the morning trip with not enough but went anyway. Picked at shorts but no keepers. Didn't get back out until today, Thursday, for both trips but only caught a couple of shorts in the morning with a handful of fishermen with John getting an "almost",  27 1/2" short. We had a better turnout in the afternoon but the fishing was no better catching a short and keeper. We are  sailing 7 days a week, two trips at 8 AM sand 1:30 PM. This time of year try to pick the nicer days. Thanks for looking in and here are only a couple of pics.

Sun 4/23 Just when...

   Yesterday it looked like the bite was going to begin on bait and we did catch fish this morning but not as good as yesterday, picking at shorts and some keepers mixed in. Nice pool winner by Pensy Mike that went 16 lbs. but the pic does not justify it.  The afternoon trip was not good as we kept missing bites and only landed a short, go figure after yesterday's nice bite in the afternoon. Sailing tomorrow but not Tuesday with the weather and here are a few pics. Thanks for looking in.

Sat 4/22 Striper time/ the bite is on

    After a couple of weeks of tough fishing and not getting out, we got a small group to get out this morning and we connected. Picked away at shorts and some keepers mixed in all on one drop. Johnathan Harmon with 6 shorts and a keeper and John Munjer with the pool with one of his two keepers(he caught 2 more k s in the afternoon). What a great feeling to see people catch and go home with fish. The afternoon was even better keeper wise but a little less short action, with almost a limit of 28" bass and same amount of  shorts.  We are sailing (trying to) every day, 2 trips @ 8 AM and 1:30 PM so try and pick the nicer days especially during the week. Sun/Mon No pics no news

    We did make it out on Easter Sunday morning with a small group that came after we sent 4 to a 7: 30 boat.  Nice day but they did not want to bite on the bait. On Monday we only got out in the morning and did have a few bites and misses but did not land any. Sailing 2 trips every day @ 8 AM and again @ 1:30 PM but try and pick the nicer, no rain forecast days as there are not too many  coming down and feel free to call me if you are not sure. Sat 4/15 We got em

   Another surprisingly low turnout for a decent day on a holiday weekend but we went out and looked all over for readings. Found a few readings and anchored up but no results. Made another move and we did connect with a nice keeper after missing a few. Sounded like we did as good as the other boats that we bait fishing. That was the results for the morning trip and we did not have a soul for the afternoon trip.  Back at it tomorrow morning but not for the afternoon. Hope to see you and thanks for looking in. Good Friday ?

   I was actually shocked at the poor turn out today which used to be one of the better days of the spring, a day a party boat wanted to be ready for. We did get out but only with a small group, but considering how the fishing has been I can understand. We did catch a fish and missed a few but that was it. The afternoon trip was a bust with not enough showing up to go out. Hope to see you on the dock tomorrow and we are sailing every day now but only the morning trip on Easter Sunday. Updated Striper Schedule and Easter Fishing

Hi everyone. We will start our full half day schedule on Friday April 14 - 8:00AM to 12:30PM and 1:30 PM to 6:00PM - 7 days a week.  On Easter Sunday we will be fishing the morning trip only. Thanks for checking in and hope to see you soon.

Saturday 4/8 /17 First bass trip

   We were the only party boat to try and sail this weekend and we did manage enough fares to get out both trips, despite the wind forecast. Had to go to the back and tried a few drifts jigging shads and jigs but only had on so we switched to bait.
After a short time we did hook up with Paul catching the first but it was a little shy. Caught a couple more shorts and missed a few bites but that was it before it was time to go.  Came across a big flock of birds ( gannets) diving crazy so we made one last stop but it was all bait. The afternoon conditions we not good with wind against the tide but we did get a keeper and a few shorts. We are sailing again tomorrow, 2 trips so hope to see you on the dock.
