Sunday 12/29

    I had to be in early on Sunday so we made a shorter tip till 1:30. Gorgeous ocean on the way out, like a lake which is not always the best for anchoring. But as we got to the grounds some wind picked up and things were fine. Only made two drops and picked at the fish, mostly shorts of course but did get some nice keepers. Nobody went out today, Monday, with the strong easterly winds and we will not be going out tomorrow either as it will not be nice and the fish probably won't cooperate with the swell. It will be windy on New Years day again(as was last year) so our next trip will be Thurs, Jan 2. Thanks for looking in and wishing everyone a Happy & Healthy New Year. Here are some pics.

Saturday 12/28 Nice day

    All the boats had a decent turnout for a nice December day and we also had nice conditions. Started off a little slow but then the pick picked up of mostly shorts of coarse but some nice keepers mixed in. Bow did better than the stern with Vinny Bat taking the pool with one from his limit catch of 5 and John D had 4 nice keeper blackfish next to him (neither pictured). Sailing tomorrow, but on a shorter trip returning by 1:30 PM @ a reduced rate. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics of SOME of the fish. Not sailing Monday and not sure about Tuesday. On a another note , I do not like to answer E mails or facebook questions, so just give me a call, it is so much easier. Thank you.

Fri 12/27 report

    We had a nice day on the water with a little roll but not bad. Picked away at the shorts and a some nice keepers to 8 lbs with some guys getting 3 keepers some 2 and on down. Those that fished hard got a few to take home, with Jim  taking the pool again with an 8 lber. Back at it tomorrow and every day that 's nice so come on down. We will be sailing a special trip on Sunday, 12/29, from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM at a reduced rate. Here are some pics and thanks for looking in.

Monday 12/23 a beauty

    If you did not get out on Monday you missed one of the nicest days of the month. We got out with only a small group and picked away at the blackfish, shorts and keepers with Jim Krauss taking the pool with one of his 4 keepers. As most of you know, with blackfishing, it helps if you can move around the boat as some sections produce more than others. and we usually have lots of room this time of year. Sailing every day, but not Christmas day, weather permitting, to about January 5. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Sunday 12/22 Back in the game

     We got out on our first trip in a while and had a nice day with light winds and the temps finally warming up. The morning was cold with frost on every thing and we ran through some ice in the bay. We picked away, not fast but at mostly shorts but a decent amount of keeper blackfish came over the rail along with a few ling. Roger Lee led the pack taking the pool out of his limit plus catch while some only had 3, 2 or 1 but everyone caught fish but not everyone caught keepers. Sailing tomorrow, Monday,  and Tues but not Christmas day, but every day after that. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics of some of the fish.

Fishing again starting 12/22

   Looks like the next few days will be a little warmer so we will fish again starting Sunday 12/22 for blackfish. Sailing at 7:30 AM to about 3 pm every day but Christmas day and weather (wind) permitting providing green crabs for bait. Friday the 13 th update

   We have been tied up for a couple of weeks getting some maintenance done and with the bad weather this weekend we will start some time later next week. Pick days with out rain or wind if you come down. We will be black fishing on the same 3/4 day schedule leaving @ 7:30 AM returning around 3 pm with green crabs included for bait. Saturday 11/30 Blackfilsh again

     We did not make it out on Friday for stripers  but it was windy anyway. Switched back to blackfish on Saturday but I did not post that in the blog only on the  website, was sorry I didn't as only a few showed up to go out but we did anyway. Stayed on one drop picking the whole time at shorts and keepers with everyone catching fish. It was cold but it was fun. We will NOT be sailing for a couple of weeks and will post when we will go out again. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.
