We actually had a better turnout than Sunday and had to do some looking around but then found some hungry ones. If we caught what we saw we would have been done in a half hour. We did still get a boat limit of keeper stripers and one slot, Jamie getting 6, Bill 3 and the pool fish, Ben and Jim both got a few, as did a couple others that got a couple or one, while some could not connect. At least everyone went home with fish. Fish and birds everywhere with fish boiling on the surface around the boat. We will be back at it tomorrow and see if enough show u p with;the showers forecast. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Sunday 10/30 A very nice day and caught fish, but...
I was shocked at the turnout we had on such a nice day after two great days of fishing(catching). Went out with the small group and had to battle the private, small boats that were relentless at knocking the fish down. Got a shot and boated 3 of 4 fish on and after that it was looking around until we found some late in the day and boated a few more. A few short of a boat limit but people went home with fish. Back at it tomorrow as we already have a few coming down. Hope to see you on the dock and thanks for looking in, here are some pics.

Sat 10/29 Great early start and almost a boat limit
Unlike yesterday we caught the fish, Striped bass, early before the tide change. A few here and there on different drifts and then all hell broke lose with 3 to5 on at a time. All hands were on deck to net and before you knew it, it was over when the tide died. Birds and fish wee gone so we went on a search mode to no avail but we had our catch in including a few blue fish that showed up. Young Lucian( Captain Charlie Jr of the Miss Highlands and Super Cat) grand son took the pool with one of his 3 keepers. The Miss Highlands was the first boat I worked on at Lucian's age, go figure. Just shy of a boat limit but those that caught more than one gave the other ones to those that didn't so every one went home with fish. Thanks for looking in so come on down now that the fishing is good. Here are some pics.

Fri 10/28 Boat limit plus by days end
We had a tough start in the morning and did a LOT of looking. Had fish around the boat and read them at times but they were though to catch. In the end though we did end up with a boat limit of keepers plus, threw some back that were too big and small. Bill took his one of the four keepers he boated as did Jim who had 5 including one over and one under. In the end everyone went home with a fish for dinner. Back at it tomorrow morning leaving at 7:30 AM.

Thurs 10/27 We could see after 2 days of fog
We did not make it out on Weds and was kinda glad with the thick fog conditions. Got out today with decent north westerly breeze and and a good drift boating 5 nice keepers. Boated a few more here and there, everything stayed in the boat, not shorts or overs. Several guys got 2 including Frank who took the pool with one of his 2, and some one, the guys holding up two fingers (not the peace sign) caught 2 keepers in the pics. Back at it tomorrow, may be breezy but we are going. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Tues 10/25 Tough day all around
We did not have enough to go on Monday but did get out today with a small group. I was not excited about it with the thick fog all day. We did manage a few nice keepers, with no overs or unders, even though we found some fish boiling on top next to the boat. Ralph got the first one and his birthday fish. Back at it tomorrow, and hope we can see for to find the birds and boils, Thanks for looking in and here are the pics.

Sunday 10/23 Trophy Stirper time - and who's the whimp now
Not many showed up with the rain forecast, too bad you didn't. We did not have many experienced fisher people on board so it was a struggle to get some fish. By the end of the day we found some hungry fish but it was not the nicest place to be with hard out going against the NE winds. Every one caught fish including young Richard who after losing his first fish and was upset, but came back to boat a 44" beauty but unfortunately had to go back. I was the one who felt like a wimp trying to get those big fish over the rail in the net, Sorry Shawn. At least everyone went home with fish. Back at it tomorrow as long as enough show up, so come on down. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Sat 10/22 STRIPER TIME
We made the switch to striped bass but unfortunately not too many saw the post. So we went out with less than I thought we would and hit the fleet of hundreds of boats with the bass tournament going on, that did not help the fishing but we put a catch together with Shawn leading the pack with his 4 fish, one of witch had to go back being 47 " and 40 + lbs which he couldn't hold up, whimp. Rick also got 2 keepers, you are allowed one between 28 to 38 and one 24 to 28" with a bonus tag that we have. All l the fish were in the keeper range except one @ 27. If you have medium action spinning rods brig them along with bunker snaggers, flutter spoons and swim shads. Thanks for looking in and here are pics of some of the fish. By the way the rain forecast was pushed out to late afternoon tomorrow.
