With the wind and rain no boats have been out since our last trip on Weds, and tomorrow morning does not look good either so we will wait until the afternoon, WEATHER PERMITTING. Fishing for porgies, (and one blackfish per person)tomorrow, sea bass opens on Sunday 10/1 if you want to wait until then and the weather should also be nicer. Still on the half day schedule for now, sailing @ 8 AM and again @ 1:30 PM. Thanks for looking in and here is a pic form last year.

Weds 9/27 Fluke Still here - bottom fishing starting Sat 9/30
We made our last fluke trip of the season and it went better than I though after 5 day of strong northeast winds and rain. I was happy catching a couple of fish at first but we ended up with one limit and a few other keepers around the boat in the morning with Ben taking the pool with one of his 2. On the afternoon trip, it was a little slower but we did put some keepers and couple dozen short fluke in the boat. We will begin our half day bottom fishing on Saturday, 9/30. Thanks for looking in and here are few pics, but the first did not come out right.

Tues 9/26 One last shot for fluke & RIP Old Dick
We will give it one last shot tomorrow, Weds, for fluke. Not sure what tho expect but we did have a decent trip before the blow. Sailing the two trips @ 8 AM and again @ 1:30 PM . We will then see what the rest of the week brings. One our oldest regulars, Dick, unfortunately passed on Sat @ 94. Drove down every Tues and some Thursdays. We had a lot of laughs as we would say "do you have a short... Dick?" . RIP old buddy and show them how to catch em up there.

Friday 9/22 Slugged away in the bay
We ended up with a decent gang but half rod rentals so I knew it would be a tough go with the wind and conditions. Knew we could not go off shore again but we made it work in the bay with Tim leading the pack with his limit of nice keeper fluke and the pool fish. Other single keepers around the boat and decent amount of short fluke. The weekend is a blow/wash out probably until Tuesday but will post something if things change. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Thurs 9/21 special trip report - Sailing tomorrow
We decided on the last minute to run a longer special trip today with the good fishing they have been having off shore. I apologize for those that came down for the afternoon trip, not to see us there. It was worth the trip and I got a lot of thank yous, as they were getting off. Mostly Sea Tiger regulars that we know and a few others. Was not nice when we first got there but then it turned out very nice. Picked at some nice fish with teacher Ed Christensen getting the pool with a 5.5lber. Runner up had a 4.7 and there were two limits and several with 2 keeper fluke, and a lot of singles. We also had plenty of action with the short fluke and black sea bass that had to go back, closed season. Depending on what happens after the storm this weekend we MAY run another one before the season closes on 9/27. We will run the morning trip tomorrow but not sure about the afternoon, depending on the weather. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Special trip Thurs 9/21 8 AM - 2 PM - no afternoon trip
We did not get out on Monday with the rain but did on Tues with the wind. Caught a couple of keeper fluke and porgies and some shorts on both trips but not good. This morning was the same so this afternoon we decided to take a ride off shore and it paid off. Several guys with two keeper fluke with singles around the boat and 4 fish over 4 lbs. Everyone got off the boat happy. Therefore, tomorrow we will only run a special morning trip form 8 AM to 2 PM, $ 75 a head, and obviously no afternoon trip, but back at the 2 trip schedule on Friday. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics with this afternoon ones first.

Sunday 9/17 Nice day with keeper fluke
We did not get out this morning but will try this afternoon, however, the rest of the week looks much better. Sunday was nice and we caught some keeper fluke with Malcom getting his limit of 3 and Bob O getting his 2, some others with one including Sue who took the pool with a 5.3 lb beauty on the morning trip. The afternoon started off slow with wind against the tide but we did catch some more keepers. Larry took the pool at he end of the rip and his daughter also got a keeper. Denise got 2 and some other singles around the boat. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics, hope to see you on the dock.
