Happy Hal-oween - Good fishing with keepers and slots mixed in

We put a couple we could keep on the second drift along with an over, where we started yesterday. looked around and as we did saw the southern boats moving north, not a good sign. After a couple more stops and no results we tried another area. The new area started off slow but then it was one and two on, mostly overs that had to go back and a few keepers to take home. Sailing tomorrow and every day, weather permitting, 7:30 AM - 2:30 -3 pm. Here are some pics but lost a few to a camera malfunction. Thanks for looking in.

Weds 10/30 Much nicer day and more keepers

Did not know what to expect after yesterdays conditions, but it turned out much nicer and we found fish close to home, caught more slots and keepers to go home along with a few overs. Once the bite  died we ventured to where we had the fish yesterday and caught a few more big girls that had to go back safely. Hopefully this is the change we have been waiting for, more fish to take home. Back at it tomorrow and every day so come on down and catch some fun. Thanks for looking in and here are pics of some of the fish.

Tues 10/29 Not a nice day on the water, but we got it done

Went out today with another small group, expecting another nice day on the ocean but it was not. Must have had some wind last night and today added to it. Rolled around pretty good but we caught fish, again mostly overs with Rod Stewart Bob taking the lead boating 6 fish to 46 ". Back at it tomorrow and every day so come catch some fun, it may be a little rough again tomorrow, just a heads up. Thanks for looking in and here are pics of some of the fish.

Mon 10/28 Another nice day on the water & a couple ot take home

We had another very nice day on the water with just a small group, en
ough to go, and ended up taking a couple of fish home. Again, most of the fish were overs, over 32" to 42", but we did nail a couple of fish within the limits. Sailing every day so come down to get your trophy fish or maybe dinner. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Sun 10/27 Nice day on the water - the bite continues

It was a little rolly and breezy at first but then it turned out to be a beautiful day and today, Monday, should be too. Picked at the fish all day but not the crazy 4 or 5 on at a time. We did manage a keeper but the rest were all too big and had to go back. We now  use the first fish caught as the pool fish if no keepers are caught. Again the fish are big so set your drags and do not tighten them up if the fish is not coming in, the mates will be glad to help you set them. Weather you go home with a fish or not the mates work hard and deserve to be compensated. Thanks for looking in and here are pics of some of the fish.

Sat 10/26 Great start but sad ending - RIP Eric

On the way out to the fishing grounds we had a nice whale show and then had a good drift with one man catching 4 big stripers along with a few others caught. Unfortunately after catching his big fish we had a medical emergency and had to return to the dock. Mike did his best as did others, with a lot of prayers on board, as we were met by FDNY paramedics that took over. Everyone worked hard but it was his time, after catching his last fish, and we returned to the dock early.   Our condolences to the family. Back at tomorrow and every day sailing 3/4 day now @ 7:30 AM to about 2:30 PM. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics, wish we had more.
