Monday 12/31 No go tomorrow

   We got out with a small group this morning and it started out nice. Picked at shorts and some keepers, and then the wind picked up and the current against it made it a little rolly. It gt worse so we stayed and on the drop then went home. We had some good fishermen the boat with expensive gear but the pool was taken by a man with a rod rental, go figure, lol as they say. NOT sailing tomorrow with the forecast and don't think about going out as it will not be nice. Will be back at it on Weds and we will go from there. Sunday 12/30 Much nicer

    We headed out on a calm ocean with no wind with a nice group of guys. Picked away slowly at shorts and then a few keeper blackfish came up. Mad a couple other moves and picked away even better as the bite got built up. Not a lot but keepers around the boat and everyone catching shorts. Sailing tomorrow but will wait and see about New years day with some wind coming New years eve. Thanks for looking in and if we don't see you have a Happy,Healthy and safe new year. Saturday 12/29

   Well, we gave it a shot not expecting too much fish wise and more than that weather wise. It was not nice but not rough, nicer than I thought it would be. Picked at shorts  but not many keeper blackfish. Today and Monday look nicer but not sure about New years day with gusts to 35  New years eve and rain into the morning. We will let you know as it gets closer. Thanks for looking in and here are a couple of pics.

Pics from 12/27 and update

     None of the boats went out today with the wind and rain forecast.  I'm still  undecided about going out tomorrow, Saturday with the forecast being 4 - 7 ft seas out of the south with a west wind of 20+ knots that would put us side to the roll. If we do go it will not be that nice and Sunday sounds like the better choice. I am going to wait for an updated forecast this evening or tomorrow morning, you can also call me early in the morning. 12/27 Another good one

   
We had another nice day on the water with light winds and calm seas. Picked at shorts and a few keeper black fish mixed in. High hook was Adrian with 4 keeper blackfish and there were keepers all around the boat. Pool winner was not a regular sharpie so you never know. Forgot the camera so will post pics tomorrow. Weds 12/26 A good one

   We didn't make it out on Monday, Christmas eve day and nobody sailed on Christmas. Got out today with a small group and despite  the not so great anchoring conditions, we put a nice catch together. From limits plus on down everyone caught fish and most went home with keepers. Here are some pics and we will be going out tomorrow, but not Friday with the winds. Hope all had a nice Christmas and thanks for looking in.

Sunday 12/23 Nice day

    It was a nice but chilly day on the water but the fish were not as hungry as they have been. We picked at shorts with some keepers mixed in but not enough keepers to go around. We will sail today, Monday, if enough fishermen show up but not tomorrow since I only got one call to go on Christmas day.. Hope everyone has a nice Christmas and we will be back at it on Weds. Thanks for looking in and a reminder if you are looking  for a last minute gift for your fisher person, we do have gift certificates available at the boat  or by mail but it maybe too late for that. Thurs 12/20 report

    We almost got out on Weds but a couple of guys jumped ship early. We did make it out on Thursday and it was almost too  nice with very little wind and current that made it hard to stay on the spot. We did pick shorts and some keepers on  several drops but no limits. No boats went out today or yesterday but we will try again tomorrow, Sunday and Monday. Sailing Weds and Thurs 1219 & 20

   Well it looks like the next opportunity to go out is tomorrow and Thurs but not Friday. Not sure about Saturday so we will see how the weather turns out. Sailing daily for blackfish, weather permitting,  with crabs provided for bait. Thanks for looking in and hope to see you soon, if not have a nice holiday.

Sunday 12/16 Schedule update

    Nobody went out on Sat or today with the weather and it looks like no one will be sailing until Weds 12/19 with the wind forecast the next two days. It will be windy and there will be a big left over sea/swell from today so there will not be much biting. Thanks for looking in and hope to see you soon, if not then have a nice holiday.

Friday 12/14 Listen to me

     We went out today but heard the winds and sea off shore were not good. Customers looked at me like I had two heads since the winds were calm at the dock. Well it was not nice as we plowed our way out to the grounds.Caught fish on all the drops. mostly shorts but some keepers mixed in. Wayne got the pool  with one of his two nice ones and some had two or three on down but no limits. Not sure about tomorrow so give me a call in the morning. Definitely bot going out on Sunday and not sure about Monday. Thanks for looking in and see or soon or have a nice holiday.

No go today or Weds.

   Not enough showed up to go out today and we will not sail tomorrow, Weds, but will see what happens on Thursday. Friday's weather looks the best with warmer temps but on  Saturday  they are calling for rain. Thanks for looking and hope to see you soon.

Sunday 12/9 Manny did it

    Went out with only a small group of guys  to a beautiful flat ocean. It was cold but there was no wind and there was plenty of heat in the cabin. Tried a new area and picked A few fish then moved out to where we have been fishing. Not as much short action but ended up with some keepers. Manny led the way taking his limit out of the six he caught and every one on board went home with fish. Even mate Steve and I caught a couple of keepers. Saturday 12/8

     Finally got out with more than a hand full of fishermen. Tough anchoring conditions at first but we picked away short blackfish and some keepers. Good action all day with a few guys getting 3, 2 or 1 keepers but all caught fish, as many as 30 plus shorts for those who stood at the rail. It was cold so dress warm if you are coming out this week. Here are some pics and thanks for looking in. Sailing every day weather permitting so if you are not sure give me a call.

Weds 12/5 Not the weather we expected

    We went out today expecting northerly winds of 10 -15 knots but got 15-20 and 25 from the NE.  Was not rough but uncomfortable with the easterly roll. We had decent action with the shorts and some keepers mixed in including a nice keeper cod by Bob Caputo. No limits but a couple guys with 3 keepers on down. Not sure if there will be enough to go tomorrow so if you can wait till Friday or the weekend we will have a better chance of going out. And btw weekends are not crowded if you are worrying about that. Here are a couple of pics and thanks for looking in.

Monday 12/3 Windy and a swell

   None of the party boats went out on Sunday with the rain and wind forecast. We did get out today with just enough to go but it got windy and there was a swell left over from yesterday's SE winds.  Got a pick going of shorts then some keepers came in. We didn't move around too much with the conditions but did have a high hook of 4 keepers, others one and two and some only shorts. The conditions made it hard to feel the bite. Tomorrow is also going to be windy so Weds looks like the better day if you can wait till then. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

Sat 12/1 Nice day for blackfishing

   We did not make it out on Friday but did today with another small group. Super nice day with almost no wind and calm seas. Picked away at short blackfish with some keepers mixed in, some with 3 or 4 k's on down. Everyone caught fish but not all caught keepers. Pool fish was 7 lbs caught by  buy John L Made a few drops with the fishing getting slower as the day went on. Looks like we will not be going out on Sunday with the winds kicking up and rain coming. Hope we can get back out on Monday. Hope to see  you then and here are some pics. BTW we will be staying with the backfish now. Thanks for looking in.
