We had good fishing in the morning with a nice drift and a lot of action. Mostly shorts and sea robins but it was nice to see people reeling in fish. On the afternoon trip it was even better with more keeper fluke coming on board then the morning with 2 Bobs getting two keepers each. The weather also cooperated as it was not too hot. Sailing two trips every day @ 8 AM and 1:30 PM (except Weds afternoon this week). Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.
We got out on both trips on Sunday and fished where we have been going. It was a little rolly but not rough. Other then that it was cloudy comfortable all day after the hot weather we have been having. Picked away, on both trips but better in the morning since we had a better drift, catching short fluke keepers on both trips. Sailing 2 trips every day, except Weds afternoon(going to rain anyway), @ 8 AM and 1:30 PM. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics with Sunday's first.
On Friday we picked away at the fish mostly short fluke and sea robins with a few dog fish sharks mixed in, but did get a few keepers on both trips. We didn't have many people so we were able to fish one side and put most in the shade ad breeze that made a big difference. None of the boats went out on Saturday with the strong east winds and rain but we will be here today, Sunday, to go out and see what we can put together as far as fish. The morning was not as active with the short action as it was on Weds but we did pick away after moving around a bit producing more keeper fluke then then the previous morning. On the afternoon trip Artie came to celebrate his 78th birthday and was rewarded with two keeper fluke and about ten shorts with Roger's wife taking the pool as we picked with a nice southerly wind to keep us comfortable. On the afternoon the picking was slower but we did end up with more keeper fluke with a couple of people getting 2 and Hassan taking the pool at the end. None of the boats sailed on Sunday although we dd not get the wind predicted, and nobody showed up on Monday morning, but we did make both trips 'Tuesday. The waters were fine and we had to wait for the tide change to get a drift. We then stared picking shorts, sea robins a few dog fish and of some keeper fluke. On the afternoon trips the current was already fast but we picked at the fish but not as good but still wound up with a couple of keeper fluke and blues. We had to work at it but we put together a catch of keeper fluke with Gene getting his limit pf 3 and a couple of young ladies took the pool. Short action was not as good as the day before but everyone caught something. On the afternoon trip we picked away but not fast but boated a decent amount of keeper fluke as Shawn tied for the pool catching one on the last drift, his one for the day as he made both trips.
