Sat 4/30 Good AM ok PM

     I knew it would be a little tough this morning with all the boats so went to a another area and had a couple of good shots at the fish.  The afternoon was not as good until the end but we ended up with a few fish. Got a new camera but could not get the pics. Back at it tomorrow so hope to see you then.

Friday 4/29 Zero to hero & no boats

      There was not much to report the last couple of trips and we did not go out with the wind the last few days. We decided to give it a shot today with a a few guys that showed up and glad we did.  It was not nice as we rolled around with the cold wind but it payed off.  We were limited out by 10 AM and threw some more keepers back, so every one went home with fish with some catching several keepers. The afternoon was also good but not like morning with couple of guys with 2 and couple with none. Paul took the pool with his 37 incher but we did throw one back over 40 inches that Mike help hold up. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

 

Sat 4/23 Still there and close

      We are still fishing our bay, nice and close. The fish are there but not easy to catch at times. Bob o took the pool in the afternoon with his 37 incher. We will be striped bass fishing until Fluke season opens on May 2. Sailing two trips every day @ 8 AM and again @ 1:30 PM Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics. 

Friday 4/22 under pressure

      Even though it was not the weekend there were a lot of boats around since our area is the only one holding fish. Boats from down south and to the west put a lot of pressure on the fish land the traffic did not help. We did catch a few fish on both trips but I would not call it good. Fish are there but catching them on the jigs is a lot more challenging then trolling them up. Sailing every day, 7 days, @ 8 AM and1:30 PM. Thanks for looking in and here are a few  pics.

4/21 Not much better

     We got out on both trips fishing close to home in our bay managing only a handful of fish on both trips. The fish are there but it is hard to get then to eat but a couple of guys do get them. One guy in the morning boated 3 and another in the afternoon had 4, taking their limit out of them home. Hopefully the fishing gets better again soon. Sailing 2 trips  every day @ 8 AM and 1:30 PM, 7 days a week. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics, but not in order.

Weds 4/20 not like it was

     We did not sail the morning trip but got out on a beautiful afternoon with a small group. Fish close to the dock but tough to get them to bite the jigs as the trollers caught them around us. Caught a couple then went searching other areas. Caught a couple more but missed a lot of bites. Maybe the storm got them off the bite see what happens tomorrow. Sailing two trips every day(7 days) now at 8 AM  and again at 1:30 PM . Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

 

Monday 4/18 and change of schedule

      We went out with a small group that all showed up last minute and had another good day on the water fishing close to home everyone going home with fish. No boats from our place went out today with the weather and we will  be running only  the AFTERNOON trip on Wednesday, I originally said we would only sail the morning trip, that is cancelled now. Starting Thursday we will be running two trips 7 days a week for stripers until the Fluke season opens on May 2.. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Sund;ay 4/17 Happy Easter everyone

     After yesterdays fishing I was looking forward to going out but only a few people showed up.  We will try aging tomorrow morning sailing @ 8 AM but only the morning trip. Looks like Tuesday will be a no go but Wednesday will be ok but again only sailing the AM trip. Fluke opens on May 2 so if you want to try some striper fishing come down soon. It is all jigging with swim shads, jigs and flutter spoons so if you have a spinning rod bring it for casting. Thanks for looking in.

Sat 4/16 Great striper fishing

 After yesterday's fishing, today was a big turnaround. We banged them from the start and then pick the rest of the morning. Almost a boat limit of keepers in the AM with a few shorts as the guys took there one fish limit when catching 2 or 3, but it was not as good in the afternoon with Bob o taking the pool with on of his two. The fish were there but the talent on board was not, but we still managed some keepers and shorts. We will be sailing tomorrow morning, Easter,  and then mornings only the rest of the week until Wednesday, then two trips every day. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

 

Good Friday-not really & change of schedule

     The fishing(catching) was not like it was last week, not that we were out, but it was a very nice day on the water. We did catch a few fish in the morning but it was not good, and the afternoon was worse. Sailing both trips tomorrow, but only the morning trip on Sunday and the rest of the week until Thurs where we will start sailing 2 half day trips every day, 7 days. Fishing Sandy Hook and Raritan bays for now where it is nice and comfortable. Thanks for looking in and here are  few pics.

Spring 2022 update and schedule

    Hello everyone, hope you are all healthy and well. We will begin our season on Good
Friday 4/15,  fishing for Striped bass on a half day schedule (8 AM - 12:30  & 1:30 - 6 PM) for Friday, Sat and morning trip only on Easter Sunday @ the same rate as last year FOR NOW, $55 adults and $35 for those under 12, cash only. Not sailing Monday and will do 3/4 day trips Tues - Thurs @ $90 pp.NEXT WEEK ONLY, 4/19 - 21, then back to a regular daily half day schedule  7 days a week.
