Tues 10 /31 Happy Hal-loween Stiper report

    We did not make it put on Monday with not enough showing up but we did get out today with a small group of regulars, knew everyone by name. Found fish off the bat with birds and  fish splashing all over. Caught a few slots(bonus tag fish) and a keeper (28 -31") now. Tried a few more times only caught a couple  more and then moved on. It was like that the rest of the day, fish allover the top but not always catching, and when we did most were over 31 " that had to go back. At least everyone on board caught fish and everyone went home with some fish. Back at it tomorrow sailing @ 7:30 AM to 3 pm. Thanks for looking in an here are some pics.

 

Sunday 10/29 Must be the moon & t - shirts to sweat shirts

      The weather forecast  kept some people away but it was not a bad day with only a few sprinkles until the end of the trip but it was cool. Worked a couple of areas but did catch a few in one area with one guy with his limit of a keeper and a bonus fish and few other keepers around but not a good day over all. Not the boat traffic we had yesterday but the fish did not act right. Back at it tomorrow so hope to see you on the dock or soon. Sailing every day, 7 days, people and weather permitting, @ 7 :30 AM . Here are a few pics from today. Thanks for looking in.

Sat 10/28 The boats, the full moon - not like yesterday

     There were an unbelievable amount of boats out there today witch certainly did not help the fishing as they ran down the fish every time they came up. The full moon I'm sure did not help but not making excuses. The guys on the boat fished hard, which helps a lot, kudos to them. Started where we left them biting yesterday afternoon but no good. Went back to the morning spot and there were up with birds on them and swirling on top, if we caught what we saw could have gone home early. Picked a few each stop then they were gone. Worked another area to get a few more and then back to yesterday's  afternoon spot  but saw no life, gave it a shot and put a bunch in the boat. Caught less each drift after that and looked around but only a couple after that. Shawn took the pool honors today and here are pics of some of the fish. Friday 10/27 Another good striper bite

        We headed out with a nice group  to where we had the action on Thursday and got a few good shots of fish including our biggest at 49" , I could barely hold it up, caught by Tony. We saw our first two shorts otherwise it was keepers and overs with Karen, first time striper fishing that Chrissy brought, boated 6.   We broke away from the pack, searched around and and found another area, where Chrissy finally boated one herself at the end as did Steve, who is a regular fluker of ours, and got his first striper. We got a few good drifts in before a couple of other  the other  boats found us, but another great day on the water. Sailing every day @ 7:30 AM, but come early tomorrow with the nice weather. Thurs 10/26 Stiper Time - Does not get better than this

      Right off the bat we had birds working close to home  and pounced on them catching keepers and some overs, limit now 28 - 31 😡. Throwing back overs but no shorts, thankfully we have bonus tags for those 24 - 28 ". Worked that area before going to another with action all day long as we drifted in the bunkers snagging live ones with weighted treble hooks, ( don't forget to bring them) then putting them on circle hooks, and also catching on shads. Everyone went home with fish and had a good time one a beautiful day in the bay. Thanks for looking in and hope I can put some pics up now including yesterdays bottom trip pics @ the end.
