Thurs 11/30 Eat your wheaties

     We went out this morning,  after a few days off, with only a handful of regulars we knew by name. When we got to the grounds it was game on, 3 to 4 on at times, Stripers and BIG blues, to 15+ lbs, all gorged with sand eels and some peanut bunker. Lets face it, everyone wants to catch a striped bass but they do not fight as good as bluefish, pound for pound no comparison. Everyone caught fish and went home with fish, Striped bass to 40+ ", shorts, bonus fish and keepers along with the blues and a hungry keeper black fish that hit a diamond jig. We kept what we wanted and threw the rest back. Back at it tomorrow so hope to see you then as we are still sailing everyday @ 7:30 AM to about 3. Sailing Thurs 11/30

    We have not been out since Sunday with the winds and cold temps but will be going tomorrow, Thurs, Fri and Sat. Sailing 7:30 AM , no reservations needed, $90 pp for adults. Spinning rod rentals for $ 10. Thanks for looking and if you are not sure if we are going or not, feel free to call me but not too late. here is a missing pic from Sat.

Monday 11/27 Didn't go out today and not going out tom, Tues.

     Nobody showed up for us to go out and we are not going out tomorrow, Tues with gale force winds, and will have to see about Weds, if the winds die down. Thanks for looking   and stay warm as it will be getting cold tom and Weds. Hanging with the stripers for now.

Sat/Sun 11/25 & 26 from Worse to Great - limited out

     Saturday's trip was not good with only a few fish and  a lot of looking around. Today, though, we got on the meat, had to travel but it was worth it. Everyone caught and went home with a keeper and a bonus fish plus tired arms. Krissie, the only female on board, landed a keeper and a few bonus fish until her arms gave out. We also threw back some fish up to 42"and a couple of shorts and slots after we caught our limit. I am up in the air about tomorrows trip, will have to see what the weather brings in the morning. Black Friday 11/24 Not what was expected

     After yesterdays better than expected catching we thought today would be much better, well it was not.  Went back to where we caught them yesterday to catch nothing. Traveled down to another area and did manage to catch a few but it was not good, so after a while looked around but it was a waste of time. Back at it tomorrow so hope things will get better and thanks for looking in and here are a few pics. 

thus 11/23 Happy Thanksgivng - Better than expected

     We got out on our half day special turkey day trip after not sailing the  last two days and did better than I expected after yesterday's reports. Picked on almost every drift  some guys catching 3 to 6 by the end of the day but some only one or none. Bruce took the pool with his keeper and we will be back at it tomorrow and everyday, sailing @ 7:30AM, no reservations needed. Thanks for looking and here a few pics.

 

Mon 11/20 Better striper action today

     We had much better morning catching fish off the bat and getting shots at them the rest of the day. Got our boat limit of slots and some keepers to got with it so everyone went home with a fish or two. Little Austin took the pool with his keeper and his brother also had a nice slot fish. Sailing tomorrow @ 7:30 AM so hope to see you then. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

 

Sun 11/19 Not like yesterday but ok

    We headed out to where we caught them yesterday and guess what, they were not there. Did a lot of looking around and found a few readings that we caught a few fish on but not enough. More looking around  with one or two here and there. Found some life in an area and finally got some thing going catching slots, keepers and some overs and unders. It kinda saved the day but nothing like yesterday. Big Mike was back to be high hook and take the pool but we ended up keeping with as many fish as yesterday but twice as many people and less action. Kim caught here first striper ever but was too big @ 32". Sailing every day, 7 days a week weather permitting, including Thanksgiving for a half day trip.Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

Sat 11/18 Another surper day striper fishing

     We had another awesome day with the stripers with everyone catching and going home with a nice bag of fish. Not many showed up, guess weather people scared them off, but we went anyway although it was not a nice day o the water. As the tide eased off it got nicer later in the day but we caught fish all day long. Big Mike  was high hook with 17. Overs, unders, slots and keepers so don't miss the bite. Sailng every day, 7 days, including a special Thanksgiving day trip from 7:30 AM - 12:30  $70 pp. Thanks for looking in and here are a few blurry pics.
