Sundlay 8/19 Yes, there are fish in the bay

    We were the only boat that made it out this morning with the bad forecast of wind and rain, and some 3/4 day boats did not even shape up. Some people only have certain days they can go out so I am glad we could accommodate them and their kids. It  was wet with on and off showers and north easterly winds, but it was not rough in the bay as we picked away at short and some keeper fluke. A nice group of folks that made the best of it and had a good time.  Did not think we would go in  the afternoon but we managed enough to go out and it turned out not bad with no rain and less wind.. Not as much action but everyone caught fish and some went home with dinner. We will be there in the morning to go so hope to see you soon. Sat 8/18 and pics from Fri

     Well for some reason there was a poor turnout for us in the morning (weather ?) and we went to where we have been getting good short fluke action and some keepers. One can not catch fluke with a very slow drift that we had. One gentleman did produce 2 very nice fluke coming in at 6 1/2 and 4 1/2 lbs but he was not in the pool and then he lost his rod, go figure. we did pick shorts but not the fast action that we had  yesterday. On the afternoon trip we had a good long drift picking away at the fish but the keepers were elusive , did get one on the first drift. Here are some pics form today and yesterday and thanks for looking in. Yes we are sailing tomorrow but may not be able to fish the ocean, we will see how it is.

Friday 8/17 good AM and then

    We worked the ocean again but got out at the change of  tide so had to wait for some current. Picked a couple of keeper fluke and some shorts in one area then moved out when the current picked up. Great first drift with lots of short action and some keepers. As the current picked up the action slowed up but then it was time to go in anyway. In the afternoon the wind kicked up so that made the drift too fast but we did pick some shorts some keepers as we tried different areas. Left the camera on the boat so will post pics later (tonight). Thanks for looking in and hope to see you on the dock. Thurs 8/16 Lots of fluke and some keepers

   The morning started off slow with very little drift but we did boat a few shorts and a keeper fluke on the first drift. Made a couple of move and found some shorts and dogfish and robins. In the last area we  had a good pick of shorts, everyone catching  with a couple  more keepers mixed in.  In the afternoon we went back to where we left off and it was everyone catching fish on a long drift.  Couple of guys had 2  and some one and some only shorts but it was good fishing. The only problem is with strong current  you may only get one or two drifts in. Here are some pics and thanks for looking in.

8/13 -15 Rain to wind

    After a soggy Monday morning where we had to stay in the bay with the east winds and picked slowly at some shorts and some keeper fluke, no boats sailed in the afternoon. Tues morning was a bust with only 3 showing up but we made it out in the afternoon with a handful to get caught in a rain squall. Stared off with some short action and then it slowed up. Weds was much windier  then they predicted so we started in the bay but that was n g. Went to the ocean and had good short action but the keepers were hard to catch.  The new moon tides have forced us to only fish the channels(where the best action has been) at certain times because the current gets too strong and we can't  hold bottom. Weds afternoon was good fishing for shorts and some keepers in the mix fishing down the beach for the first time this year. One man got his limit and Bob Caputo taking the pool at the end of the trip.Here are some pics  from the last few days and thanks for looking in.

Sunday 8/12 They did it again

    What ?   We never saw a drop of rain even though some of you got pummeled up north. Mostly sunny skies  and great fishing in the morning but would liked to have caught more keepers. Constant action kept everyone busy. The afternoon was not as active but still everyone caught fish and some went home with dinner. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics with the last one of my cousin Danny's grandson.

Saturday 8/11 F N weatherpeople & oops

    They did it again scaring people not to go outside so we went out with very light groups. In the morning we picked at some shorts and a keeper, but the last drift was the best with more action and a few more keeper fluke. Had rain on the way out but only light a light shower after that. the afternoon trip we went out with a handful but had a great time with a good group of guys, small bachelor party. Picked shorts and keepers in a different area and the sun came out towards the end of the trip. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics including a few I missed form Thurs afternoon.
