Thurs 9/10 Got out with a few and caught a few

     We did manage to get out with more than just a few and had to fight the hard tides, currents but did manage to catch a few keeper fluke and shorts. Light sprinkles in the morning turned out to a nice day. Back at it tomorrow morning sailing one trip from 8 AM to 2 and then 2 half day trips on Sat and Sun for the last time, one 6 hr trip daily after that. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics but missing a couple and including one from a couple of days ago that I couldn't load.

 

 

Weds 9/9 Last 2 trip Weds - Sailing Thurs 1/2 day AM only

  We did our last weekday half day trips today and we took the ride in the morning but the conditions were not good as we had wind against the tide and moved very little. We plugged away and did put a catch together with Rick getting the pool with one of his 2 keepers and other keeper fluke around the boat with some decent short fluke and sea bass action. As the wind kicked up it got a little rolly abut it was time for us to go anyway. On the afternoon trip we had to stay more local with the strong southerly winds and put a few keeper fluke in the boat with the shorts, but not a good trip. Donata took the  pool again and Paul boated a nice keeper weak fish. Since we can not go to where we want tomorrow we will only do a half day trip as  the other boat are not sailing by the way. Labor day Mon and tiger Tues did it again.

    On Monday,  after making a couple of local stops and  boating a couple of keepers and a few shorts, we tried another area farther out, but it was too fast so we had no choice but to run south out of the current. Good action with the short fluke and sea bass but only a few keepers mixed in. Donata took the pool with a 5 lb + fish for her birthday. Today we went out with a great group of Sea Tiger regulars on a beautiful day, to the second area we fished on Monday and the conditions were much better and so was the catching. Rod Stewart Bob took the pool with one of his 2 keepers that was over 5 lbs. Andy was high hook with 4 keeper fluke while both Jack and Bill had their 3 fish limit. Several doubles and singles around the boat and good short action along with the sea bass. Tomorrow we will sail our last two trips Weds @ 8 AM & again @ 1:30 PM. Back to our 8 - 2 trips on Thurs and Fri and half day trips this weekend, but they may be the last half day trips. Sun 9/6 Repeat of Sat and rest of Sat's pics

   We tried to go to where we have been fishing but it was too rolly  and uncomfortable so we retreated to calmer waters. The fishing(catching) was slow as we put some shorts and only couple of keeper fluke into the boat.  The afternoon proved to be much better with a better drift and calmer waters. Jacob took the pool honors in the afternoon and Eric boated two nice keepers. Sailing every day but Weds will be our last half day Weds, but will do half day trips on the weekend, possibly the last weekend for half day, depending on the fishing.
