Fri 6/26 A BIG one today

     Not a lot of people showed up for the boats, I guess the mixed weather reports scared a few away.  Tomorrow does not look good either but since it is a weekend we will be there to go out and hopefully enough show up to go and the weather people are wrong again. We had less action today then the last couple but did manage to put fish in the boat, only more dogs and skates then we like but did see a fair amount of short fluke and a handful of nice keepers. Donata had 2 and others had one, including a beast at 6 lbs, caught by Brian. He now leads the yearly pool but was not in the monthly, so spend a few dollars cause you never know.  Thanks for looking in and here are some pics. 

 

 

Thurs 6/25 Nice day and some fish

    The weather was beautiful and the fishing was not bad either. Found a little area of shorts and keepers and worked it over putting some nice keepers in the boat. Not a lot, but better than its been and ventured to a couple of other areas. Put a few more in and then went home. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics. 

 

Weds 6/24 Back in the saddle again

     We did not bother to go out on Mon and Tues with the inclement weather that was not that bad on Monday but the forecast was and that's what deters people from coming down. We went to where we have been fishing in the morning and had a good day with the short fluke at least, with good action and a few keeper fluke mixed in along with the skates and dogs. Tried to repeat it in the afternoon but no good with only a few short fluke and a few keepers. John with his grand daughters took the pool in the AM and Bob O took it in the afternoon.  Have to see what happens on Thurs as we may try a couple of different areas. Sun 6/21 Dad's day & not sailing Tomorrow Tues 6/23

      We had a good turnout but did not have to leave anyone at the dock, I think I scared a few people that we would be very busy and to get down early to get a spot on the boat.  Had  nice day on the water picking away at the short fluke, some skates and a few dog fish sharks, along with only a few keepers. Good weather, good fishing but unfortunately  just not enough keeper fluke.  NOT sailing tomorrow, Tues 6/23, as they are calling for rain all day. Although we were not scheduled to go out today with the forecast, that was wrong, a few did show up but none of the boats went out. Hope to see you on Weds, on one of our two half day trips day @ 8 and 1:30. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

 

Sat 6/20 Another decent day - not sailing Mon 6/22

      We had another decent day of catching short fluke along with some skates and dog fish sharks but not too many, despite the strong winds. Little bit of a bumpy ride out but where we fished was nice and calm. Both trips we about the same but only a few keepers each drift. Here are some pics and thanks for looking in.  

 

Weds & Fri fluke reports, 6/17 & 19 & yes sailing father's day

     We have been fishing the same area the last few trips and having good short action but only a few keepers but at least we don't lose a lot of rigs, and its very comfortable. Today Morgan took the pool beating her dad out. I got a lot of calls about if we are going out on Sunday, Father's day, Yes we are but it will be very busy so get there early. My suggestion is come another day or on the afternoon trip which is usually less crowded. Here are a few pics and thanks for looking in.

 

Tues 6/19 Decent action but only a few keepers, 1/2 day AM only next 2 days

     Went to where we have been fishing the last couple of days and had decent action with the shorts and put a few keepers in the boat despite the conditions that went bad, wind against tide. But it was a very nice comfortable day.  Tried locally at first but then took the ride. Irish Shirts Gary took the pool honors. We will be running the AM trip only tomorrow (1/2 day), Weds, AND Thursday will also be an AM 1/2 day trip also. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

 

 

Sun/ Mon 6/14 & 15 Better Action

      On Sunday we took a ride and had decent action with the short fluke but only a couple of keepers mixed in. Today with the strong NW winds we had a good drift in the same area and had good action with the short fluke with some more keepers mixed in. High hook, Jim, had double digits in shorts and a keeper. The weather (winds) prevented us from trying other areas but its ended up as a decent day. Back at it tomorrow and probably fishing the same area. On Weds we will only be running the morning trip, 8 AM - 12:30 pm, but not the afternoon. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics. 

 

Update through Sat6/13, it did not

    On Thurs we went to where we had decent fishing and it did not happen, the only thing that did happen was a mechanical issue that cut our day short but was resolved. Friday and Sat it was a struggle to get keepers and even the short action was not that good. On the flip side it sounds as if the bottom fishing is not up to par either. On Sat afternoon we tried a different area and had a little better action, may go there today but it is little bit of a ride. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics. 

 

Weds 6/11 Is it finally happening ?

     Went to where we have been starting to try and get a pool fish and some short action. Good first drift picking at the shorts and a couple of keepers. Tried up past where we started and again same thing so we did not have to leave. We were hoping that the fluke are finally moving in after a decent morning compared to  last few trips. Was not sure if we were going out in the afternoon with the forecast and nobody showing up, but had a few calls so we did. Went back to same area and where did they go. No short action and only one nice keeper. After trying a few other areas we had to leave and venture elsewhere. We did find some short life in areas where there was very  little lately so we saved the day, along with a mix of dogfish and skates to spice it up. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.
