Thurs 8/6 Where did that come from ,the roll

We started where we had some decent fishing(catching) but there was no drift so we ventured out to find the end of the tide(current).  Picked a few nice keeper fluke and sea bass but it was a little rolly, to where a few were not up to it. Bounced around a few spots but then headed south where it was nicer. Found some real good action with shorts and a couple of keeper fluke and sea bass mixed in. Back at it in the AM so hope to see you on the boat. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

Tues/Weds 8/4 & 5 Fluke reports

On Tues our 6 hr trip, we took the ride but it really didn't payoff with a big swell and slow drift we only picked slowly at  the fish and ended up with a handful of keeper fluke ea long with some sea bass. Weds we stayed local and got lucky with a great first drift that was over an hour long ans we caught the whole way, mostly shorts but a couple o f keeper fluke. By the end of the morning we made double digits in keeper fluke along with a lot of shorts. Tough conditions in the afternoon, wind counter the current, made it much slower but we will put some keeper and decent amount of shorts in the boat. Sailing every day and here are some pics.

Weekend report 8/1 & 2 Not sailing Monday 8/3

We did our half day trips on the weekend so we were a little limited on where to go, but we made the best of it and the short fluke action was not bad. Only a couple of keepers in the mix on both trips Saturday but today was better. Decent short fluke action along with a fair amount of keepers in the morning but less in the afternoon with the strong southerly winds holding up the drift but at least it was comfortable. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics, not sailing tomorrow.

7/31 Not like yesterday but ok, and Joe holds on

We went to where we had some good fishing yesterday but had bad conditions, no drift. Tried to hang in there hoping things would change as we picked slowly at short fluke, sea bass and some keeper fluke. When the wind changed and made the drift worse we went to another area and did have a shot of some more keeper fluke. Willy got his limit and Chris took the pool with a 5 lber. Joe Ivan held on to his monthly pool fish leader of 6.11 lbs. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Update to Thurs 7/30 DDs on the ST Good day

After tough days on Monday and Wed catching mostly shorts, did not sail Tues , we had a banner day today getting well into the double digits today. Both Eddie and Andy got their 3 fish limits and "other guy" Gary took the pool with one of his two keepers. Other doubles and singles around the boat. Everybody fished hard and were rewarded with good short fluke action and some keeper sea bass. It would have been an even better day if the wind didn't come up and make the drift fast, and the catching slower. Sailing every day weather and people permitting so come catch some fun and sun. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.
