Fri 5/22 Not sailing the weekend until Monday, not good today
Not all the boats tried to go out today but we did get a decent group, but unfortunately could not put them on the fish. Picked at some shorts and did get a pool fish but it was cold and windy so not everyone was at the rail to put the effort in. The next two days do not look good wit h rain and winds so we will not be going out, Monday looks better. Thanks for looking in and the camera is still on the fritz.

Weds/Thurs 5/20 & 21 Nice on Weds but not today
On Weds the weather was warm but nice with a breeze all day. Picked at the shorts on the morning trip with only a couple of keepers mixed in. On the afternoon trip it was tough again catching a few shorts every where we went but not enough, and we tried some new places. Today only a handful showed up for the whole dock but we decided to take them out rather than send them home, on a half day trip with the rain coming in later. Only picked a few shorts in a couple of places, some had nothing. We will be sailing tomorrow, Friday but up in the are about the weekend with rain and wind coming, Maybe Sat AM if anything. Thanks for looking in and no pics as the camera malfunctioned. Hope to see you on the boat and call if you are not sure if we are going out.

Tues 5/19 A hot one till the breeze came up
We ended up with another nice group of people, mostly regulars again. Picked at the shorts but did put a few keeper fluke in the boat as we tried a few different areas. Good to see more fish in other areas but still not enough, but hopefully this warm spell will turn them on more. High hook had 2 keeper fluke along with shorts and " Rod Stewart" Bob that we call him, took the pool with the last keeper. A few anglers had 3 or 4 shorts so it was something. Even made a couple of drifts in the ocean where it was 30* cooler, air temp that is, seemed like someone turned on the AC and it felt good. Sailing tomorrow morning 8 AM - 12:30 and maybe the afternoon (1:30 - 6 ) if the weather holds out and enough show up. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

Monday 5/18 Beautiful day on the water in calm waters
We had a nice group show up, mostly regulars that fished with us before and we picked away at short fluke and some keepers in the mix. The folks fished hard to put fish on the boat,as Kevin took the pool with his fish. Much nicer on the water than land with a cool southerly breeze that also helped the drift. If the fishing(catching) was as good as the weather would have been a banner day. Fishing in the calm waters of the bay sailing every day. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

Sun 5/17 Not like yesterday and some Sat pics
Today was a struggle but we did put some shorts on the boat along with a couple of keeper fluke. The afternoon was not any better, in fact a little worse, although the weather was gorgeous. When boats pound the same little area it gets cleaned up fast and unfortunately most of the fish have been in one area. We have tried other areas with no results. Hopefully the warmer temps will bring more fish in and get this fluke fishing going. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics from today and the rest from yesterday when my computer drank molasses.

Fri 5/15 & Sat 5/16 Warmer temps warm up the fishing
Not good fishing (catching) on Friday but John did manage two keepers with short action on the boat. This morning was very nice and the warmer temps made the fish chew a little, one of the better trips since opening day. First drift produced half the keeper fluke along with shorts and then we got mugged with the little boats but went on to put a few more in the boat. The afternoon not as good with a poor drift and the area go cleaned up. Hopefully more will move in with the warmer temps the next few days. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics, will post the rest tomorrow, the computer is acting up.

Weds/Thurs 5/13 & 14 Ok AM but tough PM, working on it
We were the only game in town on Weds since other boats did not shape up but we did manage to put a small group together to get out. Decent short fluke action but only a few keepers to take home in the morning. Barely enough to go in the afternoon but did go out despite the high wind forecast. Picked a few on the first few drifts but then it shut down, as the winds kicked in. Today was the opposite with very little wind and drift but again worked hard to put a few in the boat, unfortunately not enough. Back at it tomorrow and every day so hope to see you on the boat, check the web site for the schedule. Thanks for looking in.

Tues 5/12 Fluke report, Not great but something
We did not make it out on Monday along with the other fluke boats with only 3 showing up on the dock. We did however, end up with a nice group on a chilly morning and put the effort in to put some fish on the boat. Picked shorts on every drift, and a handful of keeper fluke with Billy O taking the pool and is now new leader in the bigger pools. Kelly was high hook with 2 keeper fluke but could not get his limit. Fishing the generally calm waters of the bay and close to the dock. Two half day trips tomorrow, Weds, @ 8 AM and again @ 1:30 PM. Hope to see you on the boat and thanks for looking in, here are some pics.

Sat/Sun 5/9 & 10 Come on temps and Fluke
It has been cool on the water and I'm Sure it is not helping the fishing. That being said we only pick at the short fluke slowly and occasionally get a keeper. Hope fully more will move in soon, real soon. Not only has the fishing(catching) been slow but so has the turnout other than the first 2 days of the fluke season. May have to start venturing to other areas but the ocean temps have been cold. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

Fri 5/8 Sailing Sat and Sun(mothers day) but AM only both days
Another decent group today but the weather was not as nice as they predicted, imagine that. Breezy and cool, as we picked at the short fluke with some keepers mixed in. Gary was high hook with 2 keeper fluke, along with shorts, and the pool. We will be sailing tomorrow, Saturday but morning trip only with the rain coming in the afternoon. Same thing on Sunday, mothers day, AM only, as usually nobody shows for the afternoon. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

Tues/Weds 5/6 & 7 Fluke reports
We were the only boat to shape up and try to go out on Weds and and ended with a dozen so we went. We picked some shorts and a few keeper fluke in several different areas. We did beat the rain until it was time to go in and did not try for the afternoon. Today, Thurs, we went out with a handful and there was a cool breeze but not rain. First couple of drifts we picked a few shorts and some keepers but the bite shut down. Tried a few other areas but not good with very little drift as the wind died off. Back at it tomorrow and hope to see you on the boat. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics, today's first.

Tues 5/5 Happy Cinco de mayo but not like yesterday, Sailing tom AM
It turned out to be a beautiful day, not like yesterday but with no wind there was very little drift, and I complained yesterday about the winds. Started out where we had a drift and traditionally was always a good early season spot, but not luck. Went to where we caught them yesterday but very little drift and only picked at some shorts. Tried a bunch of other areas with the same results, few here and there but the keepers were hard to find. Mike did get one for the pool. We will be trying to sail tomorrow morning but only the morning trip from 8 AM to 12:30. Thanks for looking in and maybe see you on the boat, I hear the other boats are not going out.

Mon 5/4 FLUKE time with a good start
We went out with a decent group of mostly regulars but had to battle not the greatest of conditions. Did a lot of power drifting to hold an edge, not to give it a drift. A handful of keepers and and nice batch of shorts on the first drift t start the day off. Travis had his limit by 10:15 and went on to boat another keeper. His buddy John took the pool honors, as Tim and another got 2k with a other single keepers around the boat along with the shorts, not a lot of action, but overall a great first early season trip. Back at it tomorrow, which by the way looks very nice, and every day, but check out our schedule. 8 AM - 2 on M, T, Thurs and Fri. 2 half day trips on Weds and weekends (Sat & Sun), 8 AM - 12:30 and again 1:30 - 6 PM. Thanks for looking in, here are some pics of some of the keepers, and hope to see you on the boat.
