Weds/Thurs reports 5/8-9

     We only went out on the morning trip on Weds and picked at some shorts but a slow morning overall. Today we had a great morning with good action picking away at shorts  and some keepers on one drop. Cool on the water so always be prepared as you can as you can always take it off.  Sailing every day but not this Monday 5/13 and only the morning on Sunday, Mothers day. Tues 5/7 Good A M & fair P M

    This morning we picked at a few shorts then got a keeper, then it was 3 on at once, all keepers. Thought it was game on but that was it. Just enough showed up to make the afternoon trip on a nice day, go figure. We  picked a couple of shorts and a keeper, couple more shorts and that was it. Nice afternoon weather wise but it was  a nice group of fisher people.. Will be sailing in the morning but NOT tomorrow, Weds afternoon. Thanks for looking in.

Mon 5/6 First timer old ltimer and lucky lady

     We started off the morning looking for jig fish and made one drop to no avail. Went back to where we have been bait fishing but it was the end of the  tide. We did catch a few shorts but once it started running again we picked away but at shorts and only made one drop. Jeff did get a nice keeper for the pool but at least the action was there. The afternoon trip started the same way and we only had to make one drop again. Better action then the morning but again only one keeper striper that was caught by a pretty young lady,  Alexa, whose father Al  Bickauskas used to work on the party boats. We also had and old timer who caught his first striper but it was short. Back at it tomorrow sailing two trips @ 8 AM and 1:30 PM. Btw we will not be sailing Weds afternoon or Sunday(mother's day) afternoon. Thanks for looking  in and here are a few pics.

Sunday cinco de mayo

    We did not sail this morning with nobody showing up, like I blame them and we  really didn't try to go out. Definitely not going out this afternoon  and we will see how tomorrow morning shapes up. Thanks for looking in and here is one missing pic from yesterday.

Sat 5/4 If only

      We only had to make one drop this morning and got a good pick of fish coming to the boat but...  mostly shorts. High hook was 8 fish but all shorts but we did get a keeper. Good action and fun but.  On the afternoon trip it started off very slow with the change of tide and we boated just a few shorts. Made a move and got them going with some keepers mixed in . Nice afternoon with a fun group of people so we stayed a little late to catch more fish. Tomorrow does not look good with rain and a NE wind with gusts to 30 so stay home and pick a nicer day. thurs 5/2 Forecast ?

    Went out this morning with just enough to go on a day that turned out beautiful on the  water. Picked away at the stripers and everyone caught fish but only one keeper. Did not get out in the afternoon that was sunny and warm but only one fishermen showed up, go figure. Sailing 2 trips every day or trying to so grab a few friends and come down. Weds 5/1 Better action

    We got out this morning with another small group, not many coming down with the weather cool weather I guess. Tried  a different area and we got a nice steady pick going with mostly shorts but at least it kept everyone at the rail. Did get a keeper and a few close ones but it was chilly. We did not have enough to make the afternoon trip but will be back on the dock tomorrow. Thanks for looking in and hope to see you soon.
