Fishing again starting 12/22

   Looks like the next few days will be a little warmer so we will fish again starting Sunday 12/22 for blackfish. Sailing at 7:30 AM to about 3 pm every day but Christmas day and weather (wind) permitting providing green crabs for bait. Friday the 13 th update

   We have been tied up for a couple of weeks getting some maintenance done and with the bad weather this weekend we will start some time later next week. Pick days with out rain or wind if you come down. We will be black fishing on the same 3/4 day schedule leaving @ 7:30 AM returning around 3 pm with green crabs included for bait. Saturday 11/30 Blackfilsh again

     We did not make it out on Friday for stripers  but it was windy anyway. Switched back to blackfish on Saturday but I did not post that in the blog only on the  website, was sorry I didn't as only a few showed up to go out but we did anyway. Stayed on one drop picking the whole time at shorts and keepers with everyone catching fish. It was cold but it was fun. We will NOT be sailing for a couple of weeks and will post when we will go out again. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Tues 11/26 Blackfish report & back to bass

    Was nice to be blackfishing again but didn't miss tough anchoring conditions. The anchors did not get tight until the wind picked up and the fishing started off very slow but then improved. Picked at shorts ar first and then some keepers came u with action all around the boat but not fast. High hook was 4 keeper blackfish some with one and two and some did not get dinner. Back to stripers today and not sailing on Thursday, Thanksgiving, with the wind forecast. I am leaning towards stripers for Friday but will decide tomorrow. Monday 11/25 Blackfish special tomorrow Tuesday

     None of the boats went out on Sunday with the wind and rain.Beautiful day today but only one guy showed up. We will do a blackfish special tomorrow, Tuesday, and then decide from there. Not sailing Thanksgiving, though I usually do, with the high wind forecast. Green crabs supplied so hope to see you in the morning.

Sat 11/23 Good day after along week

   After a long week of not getting out, blown out Sat  thru Mon, and not enough to go out the rest of the week, we had a very nice day for a small group that will be the nicest day of the weekend. Caught fish (stripers) all day long with everyone  catching, some to  10 - 15 fish and almost everyone going home with dinner. Even young Lucian, grandson of  the late captain Charlie Fossani jr, (Miss Highlands & Super Cat, where I started) caught about ten fish. Unfortunately we will not be sailing tomorrow, Sunday, with the wind forecast and rain. Sailing every day otherwise, weather permitting, @ 7:30 AM. Friday 11/15 Not like Monday

   We have not sailed since Monday and heard the fishing was great on Thursday but we not enough showed up to go out. We did start off good with a few shorts and slot fish (24 - 28") on the first drift. Went to a few different area chasing the birds but hard to keep up with. Picked a few here and there but the last few drifts we picked away. Everyone caught fish but not everyone went home with one but those that did catch more than one keeper shared them with others. Not going out today or tomorrow, Sunday, and probably not Monday either ,but will see on that one. We are still fishing for striped bass for now since it has been good and the blackfishing has not been that good for getting keepers. We will see what happens with the fishing and go from there..
