We finally got on the the striper board with a couple of keepers (by the ladies) and a short this morning and then went to catch a few blues. The afternoon was not as as productive like the last few afternoons. Yesterday it was only blues in the morning and tough afternoon. FLUKE opens on Thursday May 25, with the bag limit of 3 @ 18 inches. I actually can not wait after this spring fishing. When we switch over to fluke we do not want braid in the back of the boat, it is only allowed from the rear of the cabin forward. It gets caught on the shafts and causes problems in the cutlasses. So if you like to fish the stern (back) of the boat please us monofilament line. here are a few pics and hope to see you on the dock. Thanks for looking in.

Update to 5/17
We got out yesterday and tried for the stripers with no results so we went for the blues and caught a few. The afternoon was a little better blue fishing but no bass. Today same thing happened, but the blue fishing was better on the morning trip but not the afternoon trip. Make sure you pick up some wire leader hooks for the blues if you want to have some fun. We are still waiting to hear about the fluke regulation outcome so stay tuned , we will keep you posted when we hear some thing. Here are a few pics.Sailing 2 trips every day, weather permitting. Hope to see you on the dock.

Friday 5/12 Blues and a show
Headed out on the morning trip with only a few fishermen, this is getting old. Came across a pod of dolphins, moms and some pups. Had a nice show and when we anchored up on the outside and then they came around again. Left that area and tried a couple of drops and started catching big blues and a few fluke and blackfish (both out of season). No boats sailed on Saturday with the rain and easterly winds to 30+ mph. Not sailing today and not tomorrow, Monday, with the high wind forecast. Tuesday on looks good, and we are thinking of maybe doing some specials for other species like ling since not many are coming down the blues and the stripers are few and far between. We will keep you posted. Thanks for looking in, and here are a few pics.

Thurs 5/11 afternoon
We went out with a handful of anglers and tried where some bass were being caught but only had a few bites and dropped one as the tide ran out. Moved back to where we have been fishing and picked some big blues. Today looks to be good but not tomorrow with heavy rain and strong easterly winds. Fluke regs are not set in stone yet but they are leaning towards a short season (May 25 or 26 to Sept 5 ) and 3 @ 18 inches. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

No news is No news - This week's update
I haven't posted in a few days since we have not sailed with only a couple of patrons showing up. Some more blue fish have showed up and as of yesterday some more stripers. This weekend is not looking good with rain and easterly winds, so if u can get out this afternoon or tomorrow you may want to try. We are also anxious to get out so try and get a couple of buddies to come down with you or meet them at the boat. Hope to see you soon and thanks for looking in. P S we are only sailing the morning trip on Mother's day.

Sunday 5/7 report
We only made it out on the morning trip today and made a few drops catching fish on the last two. Caught a couple of blues and had bite offs but did finally catch keeper striper. Guess the weather scared the people in the afternoon but back at it tomorrow. We will not be sailing the afternoon trip on Tuesday, May 9. Hope to see you on the dock and thanks for looking in. Here are a couple of pics.
Thurs and Saturday reports 5/6 &8
We did not have enough fishermen to sail on Weds but made both trips on Thursday. Caught a couple of shorts and a keeper on the morning trip but it was no good in the afternoon. No boats went out on Friday with the weather but we did get on the afternoon trip on Sat. Blues are now starting to show and we caught a few with some short bass and a keeper. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.
