Sat 5/18 Fun A M anyway

We went back to where we have been catching a few fish and it started off slow.  We then started to pick a few short stripers and some blues mixed in. Then the blues got more aggressive and that was all we caught but it was good action with some of the kids getting a good fight. Lost half of them with the bite offs since we were not using wire leaders. The afternoon trip was no where as good. Here are some pics ,the first  two from Friday, and thanks for looking in. Fluke starts on Friday 5/24. Sailing every day @ 8 AM  & 1:30 PM.

Friday 5/17 The Striper Blues

Again a another very nice day with only a few  fishermen.  On the first spot we got a couple of short stripers and then the big blues took over. Boated a few then move to look for more bass. The results were no good but we will try again tomorrow. Not enough showed up for the afternoon but the weekend looks good. Thanks for looking in and will post pics tomorrow.

5/15 & 16 They're here

We got out on Weds and Thurs but with very light crowds despite the nice weather. Its been a slow pick of fish the last two days of witch are mostly shorts and a couple of keepers mixed in. This afternoon we had some fun with a few big black drum that we hooked up among the stripers. Fish that were about 50 lbs but we did not bring them into the boat just got the hook out an let go fight another day. John Strozack(sorry for the spelling John) boated two big drum and the pool winning striper of 35 ". Hope to see you on the dock and thanks for looking in. Here are a few pics.

Update to Mon 5/13

We did not get out on Friday but did make both trips on Saturday. Picked at shorts in the morning and got a couple of keepers but not as good as Thursday's fishing. On the afternoon trip we only caught shorts. Nobody sailed on Sunday or today with the nasty weather but we will be back on the dock tomorrow and see if enough show up to go out. We have been clamming but will  jig if the fish come up. Thanks for looking in and here are a couple of  pics.  The young boy pictured (in yellow) is Lucian who is the grandson of Capt Charlie Fossani Jr of the Miss Highlands and Super Cat party boats. Only  some of you older fishermen may remember those boats. In fact the Miss Highlands was the first boat I worked on as a young boy. We are sailing every day, 7 days, @ 8 AM and again @ 1:30 PM.

Weds/Thurs reports 5/8-9

We only went out on the morning trip on Weds and picked at some shorts but a slow morning overall. Today we had a great morning with good action picking away at shorts  and some keepers on one drop. Cool on the water so always be prepared as you can as you can always take it off.  Sailing every day but not this Monday 5/13 and only the morning on Sunday, Mothers day. Thanks for looking in and hope to see you soon.

Tues 5/7 Good A M & fair P M

This morning we picked at a few shorts then got a keeper, then it was 3 on at once, all keepers. Thought it was game on but that was it. Just enough showed up to make the afternoon trip on a nice day, go figure. We  picked a couple of shorts and a keeper, couple more shorts and that was it. Nice afternoon weather wise but it was  a nice group of fisher people.. Will be sailing in the morning but NOT tomorrow, Weds afternoon. Thanks for looking in.

Mon 5/6 First timer old ltimer and lucky lady

We started off the morning looking for jig fish and made one drop to no avail. Went back to where we have been bait fishing but it was the end of the  tide. We did catch a few shorts but once it started running again we picked away but at shorts and only made one drop. Jeff did get a nice keeper for the pool but at least the action was there. The afternoon trip started the same way and we only had to make one drop again. Better action then the morning but again only one keeper striper that was caught by a pretty young lady,  Alexa, whose father Al  Bickauskas used to work on the party boats. We also had and old timer who caught his first striper but it was short. Back at it tomorrow sailing two trips @ 8 AM and 1:30 PM. Btw we will not be sailing Weds afternoon or Sunday(mother's day) afternoon. Thanks for looking  in and here are a few pics.
