Wes /Thurs 5/29 & 30 Nice day onthe water and sweat shirts to no shirts

    Weds turned out absolutely beautiful with light breeze and calm seas. Again we picked at the short fluke and some keepers but not as many as we would have liked although some did manage two but no limits and don't forget the limit is for the day, not trip and we are only half day. Dog fish and skates mixed in especially when the drift slows down. We had better drifting conditions today and picked a little better but it was chilly with everyone in sweatshirts but on the the afternoon trip guys had their shirts off, go figure. Sailing every day, 2 trips, 7 days a week unless its pouring rain or too windy. Thanks for looking in and here are some keeper pics but none from this afternoon, don't know what happened to the pics.

 

Tuesday 5/28 The conditions

     The winds kicked up today but they were right for an area I've been wanting to try. Well that did not  work out so we went to where we have been catching a few but it was wind against the current so that makes it a little rolly and the drift was not right. Did put a few keeper fluke ans some shorts into the boat but had to leave it, was not worth the rolling around. Got lucky on the last drift and put a few more in the boat in a calmer area. Went back to the last spot in the afternoon  and picked away at shorts before losing drift again. Tough afternoon but we did end up putting some keeper Fluke and shorts in the boat and back at it tomorrow. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics of some of the keepers. 

 

Memorial day Monday - Thank you to those who served

   Thank you to those that served and those that made the ultimate sacrifice. We were the only boat to try and go out with the weather forecast but it was not bad. Only had a rain shower on the way in and it was breezy but not rough. Had a decent pick of short fluke along with some skates and a few dogfish but only a few keeper fluke, at least the action was better. Did not make the afternoon trip with nobody showing up. Tomorrow looks like a nice day so come on down as I know of a few guys coming. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

Sunday 5/26 the dogs showed up

     We had a very good turn out on the morning trip so I knew I had my hands full. Tried the usual areas but only had an immediate keeper by Frank that ended up winning the pool. and a few shorts. Found an area whee we got a pick going of shorts and some keepers but the only problem was the dogfish were a little annoying, but it was action and the kids got blast out of them. We are going out this morning and will see what the afternoon brings with the forecast. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics of the keepers.

Fri/Sat 5/24 & 25 reports with a bonus

    As I last reported it has been a  little bit of a struggle to get fish in the boat catching some keeper fluke and shorts but not the action we like. Some with 2 or one keeper fluke and some just catching shorts. Sat AM was one of the worst trips but the afternoon we got a little reprieve. Chicken Mike got his two beauties over 20" and Randy took the pool with one of his 2 keepers. We also managed to boat a 37" striper that had to go back. Sailing 2 trips every day @ 8 AM and again @ 1:30 PM. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics with Sat PM pics on back.
