Fri/Sat 8/30 & 31 It's all about the drift

     Friday morning we had very little drift where ever we went but did pick some shorts and a keeper. The afternoon trip was much better as wind and tide were together, so we picked away at short and some keeper fluke with Don taking the pool and jimmy was high hook with 2. Today was better as the wind died down against the tide(current) and we had ok drifting conditions as we picked away at short fluke, and some nice keepers as Gary came back to take the pool. On the afternoon trip it  was much better as the action was much better catching a lot of shorts, sea robins a few dog fish and nice keeper fluke with Bob Wavro taking the pool with one of his two keepers, his best trip yet. Thurs 8/29 The wind

    The east wind would not let us fish where we have been catching a few although we did try to go there. Very rolly and we lost a few to motion sickness so we retreated, no drift there on top of everything  else. Ended up picking at some shorts in calmer waters but we did get a few keeper fluke in the morning. On the afternoon trip the wind and tide(current) were together so it calmed the seas a bit and the drift was fast but much better fishing. Picked away at shorts and some nice keeper fluke with a high hook of 2 and Nate taking the pool with a beauty.  Sailing today, Friday, so hope to see you on the dock. Weds 8/28 Good AM ok PM Sorry Gary

      While it was better in the PM on Tues, it was better in AM on Weds with Gary getting his limit, although his picture did not come out, he also came back out on the PM trip to get another one wearing his crown. John took the pool with one of his two, with the last fish caught, as we almost reached 20 keeper fluke.  It was not as productive on the afternoon trip but one guy did get two keeper fluke and Shawn took the pool, the slow drift did not help. We are sailing today, Thurs, and every day including Labor day, but may not be able to fish where we want with the east winds kicking up today. Tues 8/27 ok AM good PM

     The morning started off slow with very little drift and we picked slowly trying couple different areas. When the current did start going we had 2 good drifts picking away at quite a few shorts an some keeper fluke mixed in. Ended the morning with a nice dolphin show on the way in as they jumped under the bow. The afternoon trip was much better, a little less action with short fluke but double digit plus in keeper fluke with Paul and Jayne getting their limit and others with one and two keepers that were quality fish, 3 & 4 lbs. Monday 8/26 Another nice day

   We had another beautiful day on the water as we picked away at the fluke mostly shorts but not the action we had last week, but still ended up with double digits in keeper fluke on the morning trip. The aft4ernoon trip started off great on the first two drifts then slowed up, but all in all a very nice afternoon. Gary, who got a keeper in the morning, came back out to get another one that would have been the pool fish@ 4.5 lbs but we did not have one since most did not want to get in. It's nice to  have nice people like Gary on board as he gave his fish to people who did not have any keepers, on both trips. Kudos to him and here are some pics.
