A couple of boats had marathons but for some reason the people showed up and we had a nice big group of mostly regulars including 89 yr old "poppy". Beautiful day on the water and the people fished hard and were rewarded. Good action with the short fluke and good amount of keepers in the mix, unfortunately we missed a few at the net when we got there too late. Keep the line tight by swimming the fish in a circle without lifting it's head out of the water and you will have a better chance of getting it netted and into the boat. We fished sticky bottom so a stiffer rod helps to bounce it out, can't do it with a noodle rod, although you may like using it. Be prepared to lose rigs and have some tied up to save time. We are sailing tomorrow, Tues, despite the forecast, as we have people coming down. Thanks for looking in and here are pics of some of the keepers.
