Weds 6/22 report

   It was another very nice morning but not much drift. We tried a couple of different areas we haven't been fishing, with a slow pick on shorts and a few keepers. Finally got some drift and before you know it it was too fast the the wind and tide together. At least we did get a shot of fish on the last two drifts. On the afternoon trip we had a surprisingly good turnout, maybe cause of the impending weather for today so keep an eye on on it. We could not fish the channel but we did have good action with lots of shorts and some keepers mixed in. Mike who got skunked on the morning trip made up for it getting 4 keepers although the crew didn't get his picture.. Here are  a couple of pics so hope to see you soon and thanks for checking in.

Tuesday 6/21 report

   Another nice morning as we tried drifting against a westerly breeze. Got a keeper and some shorts and sea robins. Worked another area to pick shorts and keepers and listened to the other boats complaining about all the ship traffic and how dead the channel was where we had such good fishing. We put a little catch together with some anglers getting multiple keepers. The afternoon was not as good as we fished the flats with a slow pick of mostly shorts and an occasional keeper. Tried the reach channel again but same thing. Ed Christensen did get the pool again with one of his two nice fish. We will see what tomorrow brings besides nice weather. Monday 6/20 ok what hapen

      On the morning trip we waited for the tide to change for a better drift. When we got it  the wind picked up from the opposite direction so there was very little. We did pick some shorts and keepers but not enough. Moved to a couple of other areas and did get a pick of shorts and some keepers. Not a good morning and we thought the afternoon would be so much better with the change of tide and wind with it. Caught a few the first couple of drifts then went to where we have been catching in the chanel but it was like a ship just went through. Only some shorts with a good drift.  Maybe the moon? Fathers day 6/19 Told you so

    Had a full boat Sunday morning and left early leaving some late comers on the dock. Sorry if we did but full is full for fishing but not over our legal limit.  First drift no good and moved to another area and started picking shorts and keepers until a ship came through and shut it down. Picked some more later in the morning until a tug came through but it was almost time to go. Even the kids caught fish, the biggest one caught by a kid got a free rod and reel donated by Roger Lee who also gave out hats and shirts he had made up. Same thing in the afternoon but not on a packed boat. Picked at shorts and keepers in the channel until another ship killed it. here are just a few pics being so busy, so hope to see you soon and thanks for looking in.

Sat 6/18 report - Be there EARLY

    We were surprised with the great turnout every boat had, enough to leave early. Tomorrow will most likely be the same so if you are coming be there early. Had good fishing both trips today with the afternoon being better. Action with shorts and decent amount of keepers in the mix. And like I have been saying the afternoons are much less crowded, so if you have a choice come later. Here are some pics from yesterday and today. One other note , Jimmy Lee who took the pool this afternoon got a heartbreaking phone call that his dad was in the hospital, best wishes to to him. Happy fathers day to all and hope to see you soon.

Fri 6/17 report

     We  had a couple of big groups come on the same trip so we ended with a big gang. Normally its is only like this on fathers day morning(Sunday). Got through the morning fine picking and shorts and keepers to almost 8 lbs. In the afternoon the S E winds kicked up so we could not fish the channel but made due with a few drifts on the flats of the bay. The wind eased off so we went out to where we have been catching them only to be met by 2 big tugs going in and two big ships going in and out. So much for the channel fishing on that trip.  Moved out of the channel and aught a few more including the pool fish of about 5 lbs. Left the camera on the boat so will update tonight. We have gift certificates for dad available at the boat, just giver me a call. My home boat number is linked to my cell so you can reach me most of the time. Thanks for looking in.

Thurs 6/16 tough morning but decent afternoon

      Went out but the conditions were not good so we had a tough time putting a catch together cause of no drift and ship traffic that kills the bite. Not a big group with one side fishing we still managed a few keepers around the boat. On the afternoon trip the conditions were much better with wind and tide together so we picked some nice fish to 7 1/4 lbs with an even smaller group and it was a very nice afternoon weather wise. Light winds and comfortable temps. Here are some pics.
