Not good conditions for the channel fishing so we started on the flats picking a few shorts and a couple of keepers. When they got right we jumped in and started to pick just in time for a ship to come through and ruin it. After he passed we tried the channel again but to no avail. Decided to try another area and got lucky with a change of tide drift picking shorts and a good amount keepers to make the morning trip good. On the afternoon trip we had good conditions to drift the bay and picked away at shorts and a few keepers. Went back to the spot where we had a good shot of fish in the morning but only caught a few. Here are some pics and don't forget the fair is in town so get down early, 12 :30 for the afternoon trip to get a good spot when the morning guys leave. See you soon and here are some pics.

7/5 report - Wasn't conditions
The weather people scared everyone off so we went out with only a few in the morning and no rain after we left. Fished where we caught a few the afternoon before picked a few, while waiting for the tide change and perfect conditions. We got them but the fish didn't know it so we picked slowly at mostly shorts and just a few keepers. In the afternoon a ship went through before we went out so didn't fish the channel. Tried another area with the same results but did end up with more than the morning catch. Here are some pics and don't forget the fair in the harbor is this week so give yourself more time to park and unload t the boat first cause you may be walking a long way. Thanks for looking in.

July 4 One of the best
Had a very good morning trip with lots of short action and almost twice as many keepers and fishermen. Bob Caputo got his limit (his lady friend and daughter one each), Roger Lee 4 and the pool of 7 lbs on down to some with 1,2 or 3 keepers. Making only 3 long drifts there was lots of fishing time. On the afternoon trip the southerly winds kicked up and a ship went through the channel before we got out so it put a damper on the catching. Very small turnout in the afternoon but we did have short action but not many keepers. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics. We are sailing every day 7 days a week, rain or shine as long as enough fishermen or women show up.

Sunday 7/3 It makes a difference
Today we had very little wind but a nice drift and had lots of actiion with shorts, some catching 10 -15 and a good amount of keepers. High hook 3 keepers but others spread around the boat. On the afternoon we again had good conditions and picked away. "Backpack" Bob Coughlin tied for the pool with Vinny Batista and Bob with his buddy Rob combined for two limits while Vinny got another 3 for the afternoon. The fair is starting this week so the parking will be a problem so come down early and unload at the boat and then park. Hope to see you soon and here are some pics.

Sat 7/2 Conditions AGAIN !
Thought we would have good conditions but again the wind was much stronger than predicted so we made the best of it. Picked shorts and only a few keepers on the flats and then to to channel where the drift was fast but we got by. Better fishing but a lot of work. Wayne Turner took the pool with his 7 lber and Pete Batista was high hook with 3. Afternoon the same thing but the opposite with wind against the tide we moved very slowly until a tanker came through. Had some entertainment with a whale swimming around the boat. Picked away at shorts on the flats with a few keeps. Grace and Rob tied for the pool with a seven pounder. Here are a few pics so hope to see you soon and get there early on the weekends.
Friday 7/1 Conditions !
A surprisingly good turnout for the morning trip and the conditions looked good when we left the dock. Had a good pick going with shorts and keepers mixed in on the first drift. Then an easterly breeze came up up enough to stop the drift. Had to leave that area and went where we could have a drift, and again picked away at shorts but only a few keepers, pool winner in the morning about 5-6 lbs. Only a few showed for the afternoon trip and we got hammered with the rain and enough wind to make the drift too fast. Just a few fish in the afternoon with mate Earl boating 3 keepers and Dave Locissio getting the pool with a 6 1/2 lber. Here are some pic and hope ot see you on the dock. On the weekends it pays to get there a little early.

Thursday 6/30 Not what we expected but our first 10 lber
Had good conditions when we went out and expected to catch them where we left them biting yesterday afternoon. Only a slow pick but did put together a decent catch by the end of the morning with keepers around the boat and some short action. Karissa would have gotten the pool with her 7 1/2 lber but a fish just shy of 9 lbs beat her, although both were caught within minutes of each other. The afternoon trip also had good conditions and the same thing happened with a slow pick of shorts and keepers. However, we did get our biggest of the season, a 10 lb beauty by Dan Olgalvie, (showing his grand kids up) not sure if the spelling is right, and also one about 7 lbs. along with others keepers but not a lot. By the way Dan "doc" would be proud or maybe jealous, may he rest in peace. Sailing every day including holidays, so hope to see you soon and thanks for looking in. Oh and by the way, we are also running a monthly pool along with our season pool which only has a 7 1/2 lb leader even though we have caught several over 9 lbs and the ten pound fish today not in it.
