Although the weather was nicer the winds were not in our favor with westerly winds against the tide. We did manage and got some keepers and shorts on most of the drifts. On the first drift Jerry Mahoney got his third keeper of three trips that ended up being the pool fish also, three for three, go Jerry. Pat Lamb did boat a very nice sea bass that drift also. The afternoon was nicer temp wise but not fishing wise with only a few keepers and shorts. Here are some pics and thanks for looking in.

Thurs 6/8 - Two virgins and 2 limits
Go figure that 2 guys who have not caught a keeper fluke since the opening (virgins) came up with limits. They are not first timers and have been out a few times and today was their day. Kenny of Kenny and Lou got his limit this morning and Pete Batista got his this afternoon along with the pool, his son Vinny told him to go play the numbers. Not a lot of action with shorts again, but at least we are seeing some fish. Weather looking good from here on out so hopefully the water warms and the action picks up. Here are a few pics and thanks for looking in.
Weds 6/7 - Finally and back to basics
We finally got a nice day without rain, clouds and east wind but very few fishermen showed up. It was chilly in the morning with a light northerly breeze and cool temps but by afternoon we had t shirts on, until the southerly breeze came up. Which reminds me, always bring a sweat shirt this time of year because the water is still cold and if the wind comes off the water it gets chilly. We picked at the fish more more shorts than keepers and not the action we should have this time of year. More than half the people went home with a nice dinner. The fish are not moving in fast because of the cold water temps of low 6o's. On the afternoon trip it was the same although one man did get his limit. How ? We we tell you on the dock, but it's nothing special. Here are a few pics and the weather form here on looks good. Thanks for looking in.

June 5 report - weather people got us
What turned out to be a nice day, no rain, little foggy and no wind that the weather people screwed up, was not that bad. Picked some shorts and a few keepers with only a handful of anglers on the morning trip , but not enough for the afternoon trip. tomorrow does not look good so we will not be shaping up, going out because there will probably not be enough to go out. Hope to see you Weds or later. Here are a few pics, hope to see you soon, and thanks for looking in.

June 4 report
It started out as a very nice day weather wise but the fish didn't know it. Very little action and finally we found a drift with some fish, nice keeper fluke and some shorts. The sun went away and the clouds came with the southerly breeze to chill things up. Had a few drops on the way in but that was it, of course it killed the afternoon people from coming down but we went out with a handful. Caught a few shorts and some keepers and here are a few pics. Tomorrow looks questionable but we will be the to go if enough show up. Thanks for looking in.

June 2&3 Jerry and a little man do it
As some of you know the fishing is not up to par even with the short action. Jerry Mahoney, however, has caught a keeper on both of his fluke trips and even got the pool Friday morning. Had no drift conditions in the first part of the morning but when we did we caught half of our keepers on one drift. The afternoon was a tough one when the wind picked up and we could only fish certain areas. Today we had too much wind and rain that did not make it nice. Even had to put the heat on in the cabin since many were soaked and cold. Brad got his first keeper of the season and the pool. The wind continued in the afternoon at about 20 mph so we could not fish where we wanted. But one young man @ 7 years young said I want a doormat after catching a short. He didn't get one but he did get one big enough to take the pool, and we had some good fishermen on board. Anyway, sailing tomorrow but the weather on Monday does not look good, although we will be there to go if enough show up. Here are a few pics and thanks for looking in.

June 1 report
We got out on both trips, with very foggy conditions the first part of the morning and a breezy afternoon. Picked slowly and some shorts and a few keepers, but not enough no matter where we tried. It was nice to see some of the "old" (long time & age wise) regulars on the boat since we switched to fluke. Pool winners went about 4 lbs. I think the cool weather has a lot to do with not enough fish moving in. We are sailing every day, 2 trips @ 8 AM and again @ 1:30 PM. Here are a few pics and hop to see you soon.
