We have been getting out on all the trips, small groups in the afternoon with the T storm forecasts, and picking on the fish but not good. Managing a couple or few keeper fluke usually, and some shorts but not a lot of action. Most of the time the weather was not bad except for yesterday afternoon when we got it with a squall of 50 mph winds and heavy rain, but where we were it did not get rough. We did have to open the cabin for people to get out of it, but it brings up a point. NO ONE will be permitted in the cabin(only in an special situation) or boarding the boat without a mask or face covering. The rules have changed and I don't like it any more than you, but we have to go by them. We will NOT be sailing tomorrow, Friday 7/10, with the weather forecast. Thanks for looking in, here are some pics, and thank you for helping get through this.

Monday 7/6 not repeatble
We headed back to where we had some decent fishing the Sun afternoon but had no drift. Worked a couple of areas then started to pick some nice keeper fluke but not a lot of short action. On the afternoon trip we made it out with just enough to go out, guess the t storm threat scared everyone else. Tried some close areas waiting for the right conditions that never happened as we had a shot of wind and then it changed direction. Some light rain but that was it. Not a lot of action but did catch some shorts, dogfish and a couple of keeper fluke. Sailing every day, rain or shine or t storm forecast. Thanks for looking in here are some pics.

Sunday 7/5 normal A M but a
The fishing(catching) was about the same on the morning trip, boating some keeper fluke and picking at the shorts, robins and dogfish(sand sharks), as the women out caught the men on keepers. On the afternoon trip we also picked a few shorts and other things on the first couple of drifts before moving on. We then started picking again, but slowly, on along drift that turned out pretty good with some nice keepers coming in. We actually had two limits (3) by Roger Lee and J. Lee not relation, and a few other nice keepers around the boat. Definitely one of the better afternoons but probably not a repeatable drift as the fish came in slowly and we were the only boat there. Thanks for looking in and hope to see you soon. BTW we have been slow, not having a lot of people on board in the afternoons, and it's been very nice with a cool southerly breeze, so don't think fish only bite in the morning. Here are some pics, afternoon to morning.

Fri/Sat reports 6 1/2 lber
The fishing(catching) has been about the same the last couple of days picking at short fluke and other fish with a few keeper fluke mixed in. Not many big fish have been caught this year but we did get a 6 1/2 lber caught by Dan Gevaras on Saturdays afternoon trip. It was a beautiful afternoon with a light cool breeze and much nicer than the morning trip that was a little rolly and then got hot. We have had light crowds in the afternoons but the weekend mornings are usually busy so call for a reservation. Hope everyone is still well land hope to see you soon. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics from most recent on back.

Thurs 7/2 Better PM
We had slow morning picking slowly at the fish with only a couple of keeper fluke boated. Mike Walsh too the pool with the keeper he swung in. The afternoon turned out much better with half as many fisherpeople, more keeper fluke and more action. Sean took the afternoon pool with one of his two keeper fluke, using his pool cue rod. We have openings this afternoon, and both trips on Saturday and Sunday. Her are some pics and thanks for looking in. Don't for get your masks and coolers for your food and drinks when you come.

Tues 6/30 Weds 7/1 Where are they
The fishing is getting challenging as we pick short fluke, dogfish, sea robins and few keeper fluke in different areas but there is no concentration anywhere. The just are not moving in like they should we we are wondering why? I think all this beach replenishment is part of the problem as even the porgies last fall were all on the N Y side. That being said on Tues morning we did have one man with his limit of three keeper fluke but not many others. On the afternoon trip one pretty lady (in pink), maybe her first time, caught the pool but almost lost it trying to swing it in. Light crowds Tues and Weds, possibly the weather forecast. On Weds the same catching with nicer temps and light winds and a light shower at the start of the afternoon trip. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.
