Friday the 13th, good fishing and will try for tomorrow, Saturday

     I posted that the weekend would be a wash but it looks like tomorrow will be ok until the afternoon, so we will be there to go in the morning, one trip a day now. The morning started off slow but we made a rebound and put a nice catch together with a limit of keeper sea bass by Denis, who also got the pool, on down with every one going home with fish. Thurs 10/12 report and pics form Tues - 3/4 day now @ 7:30 AM

      Another beautiful day on the water, calm seas, light winds  and nice temps. decent action with the short sea bass along with keepers, and also some keeper blackfish  and shorts on both trips. No more half day trips as we are now sailing one 3/4 day trip a day @ 7:30 AM. Clams for bait but if you know how to catch blackfish feel free to pick up some crabs. Sailing tomorrow but have to see what the forecast is for Saturday with the rain, Sunday is a no go.Thanks for looking in and here are some pics. 

Tues/Weds 10/10 &11 - Thurs last half day trips

    Tues AM we only  had a couple but we went out (long story) and picked at a few keeper sea bass along with shorts and a couple keeper blackfish and some shorts. Not enough showed  for the afternoon trip, one of the reasons we are switching to 3/4 day starting Friday 10/13 leaving @ 7:30 AM.  Today, Thursday 10/12, we will sailing 2 half day trips @ 8 AM and again @ 1:30 PM for the last time this year. I want to apologize for Weds afternoon's trip that I ended up not making because my surgery went longer than expected (you were right Ray). Hope to see some of you today as we are still bottom fishing for Sea bass, Blackfish and porgies, bring your own crabs if you want to try for blackfish for now.  Not going for stripers until it's worth it. Today and tomorrow look good so come down if you can as the weekend trips will probably be cancelled with rain on Sat and NE winds on Sunday. Thanks for looking in. (old pic)

Sun/ Mon 10/8 & 9 - Last week of half day - Not sailing Weds AM trip.

     We did not make it out on Friday and Sat but did get out on Sunday afternoon. It was breezy and the ocean was a little riled up. Paul got the pool with one of his two keeper black fish., as we picked slowly at the sea bass and at other blackfish, sorry no pics. Today the action was much better as was the ocean, lots of short sea bass and a better showing of keepers along with a few black fish, as Lou took the pool with his keeper.  Looks like we are the  only half day boat and Thursday will be the last day for half day trips. NOT sailing Weds 10/11 morning trip. One other note you may want to try and get down by 7:30 AM as the other boats are leaving by then. Thurs 10/5 Another beauty

     It was another beautiful day on the water with light winds and warm temps for Oct. Catching mostly short sea bass and some keepers along with short and keeper black fish. We did catch a few big porgies in the morning also that Danny won the pool with. On the afternoon Paddy got the pool with a keeper black fish. We will see who shows up today  with the shower and fog forecast. Tomorrow also does not look good weather wise but if enough show we will go. Give me a call if you are coming down. Tues/Weds reports 10/3 & 4

     We got out on both trips on both days with not a lot of fisher people. Decent action with the short sea bass along with keepers, a few short and keeper black fish and a couple of trigger fish in the mix. If the fishing was as good as the weather it would be a Ten. Beautiful days on the water, at least that was a plus after last weeks big swells. Still doing 2 half day trips every day until Columbus day, or whatever else it is now, and see from there. Sorry this whole change with everything still bothers me, guess I'm old school cause I am getting old. Thanks for looking in and here are a few pics.

Up date to 10/2 The swell chased them

      We did make it out on Sat afternoon but we only caught some keeper sea bass that were out of season and a short black fish. Sunday the morning  was not good but we did manage hand full of nice big porgies, with Jamie taking the pool with  of his few and some keeper and short sea bass. The afternoon was much better as far as action with a lot short sea bass  and some keepers, but not enough and the swell got so some of the folks unfortunately. Today was much nicer but the fish did not cooperate as we only caught a few keeper sea bass and some shorts. Back at it tomorrow hopefully it will be nicer and th3e fish will be hungry.
