Here are the rest of the pics of some of the fish caught on Tues. We will be going out on Fri and Sat but who knows after that with the strong noreaster coming in. Hopefully it doesn't chase the fish away so we will play it by ear and go from there. Thanks for looking in.
Conditions were much different than the two days before where we could drift or hold the boat over the spot. We ended up anchoring on a few spots but did put a catch together. We actually did better than I thought as I was disappointed coming in after few things going wrong. Not sailing tomorrow so Friday and Sat will be the next trips but not sure after that with the coastal noreaster coming in. Thanks for looking in and will post the rest of the pics later.
We had another beautiful day on the water along with good fishing, how can you beat that? First stop was drop and reel fishing weeding through the shorts to put some keeper sea bass in the buckets. Made a few other stops and picked away at the fish so everyone caught and went home with a couple of meals of tasty sea bass, white flaky meat. Back at it in the morning although Weds is not looking good and watch the weather for Sun and Monday as a coastal storm may be brewing. Thanks for looking in and here are pics of some of the fish.
Another very nice day on the water where we did not have to anchor with little breeze and current. Just stop drop and reel as we picked away at the sea bass and some porgies. From limits like Sean, welcome back, and others on down. And another special thanks to another capt that helped put us on the fish. With all the boats heading out we decided to try another area to avoid the traffic, looked like jaws if you know what I mean. Did not want to anchor as you end up catching the fish up quick , so we made a few drifts on different spots and picked away, but again too many shorts. Put keepers sea bass in the boat and a few porgies, don't know why the porgies did not show up this year, as we bounced around. At least the weather was very nice like summer but not too hot, wish it could stay this way all year. Back at it tomorrow and every day the weather is nice but looks like rain for Weds. We didn't know what to expect after the swells and noreaster the last few days but we were pleasantly surprised to find good life on the fishing grounds with everyone catching fish and going home with a bag of fish. Mostly sea bass with a few nice sized porgies mixed in. Plenty of action but the only unfortunate side was one had to weed through the shorts to put a few keepers in the buckets. Still a beautiful day on the water so don't miss the bite and wait too long. Sailing everyday weather permitting, @ 8 AM to 2 PM, one trip only now.
