Sat 10/1 report from only boat out
We shaped up for the morning trip but no one showed and no boats went out. Had 5 calls for the afternoon run but of them only 2 showed up but we did scrape up enough to go out. Fished in calm waters and and had very good fishing with some nice size porgies, blowfish, small sea bass and a couple of small blackfsih. Those of you that didn't make it missed a great afternoon with close to limit ( of 50) catches. Chuck the mate was very busy the whole time cutting bait, taking fish off and cleaning fish. Here are few pics and we are still sailing every day, 2 trips @ 8 AM and 1:30 PM.

Weds 9/28 report & schedule update
Got out on Weds with only a small group, just enough to sail and was only expecting to do the morning trip only. The wind increased fast but we got to the grounds and anchored up, started picking away until we swung off. Put another anchor out and stared catching again but it got rough. We hung in there while the other boats retreated to the bay and we ended up with a good catch of porgies, with high hooks in the 30's and every one caught fish. No boats have been out the last two days with the weather but we will be trying to get out now but not sure what to expect and don't know if we can get out to the ocean yet, but there are some fish in the bay which should be nice. Forgot the camera so do not have any pics. See you on the dock and don't forget the rain gear. We are still on the half day schedule of 8 AM and 1:30 PM sailing times.

Monday 9/26 Porgy pounce
Only had to make one drop on both trips to have a good pick on the porgies with constant action the whole time. We only had a few fishermen on board both trips despite the nice day. The better fishermen ending up with 40 or more keepers (the limit is 50 @ 9 inches) and everyone on board had plenty to take home. The action was so good the 3/4 day boats came in early, before we left for the second trip. We will be trying to sail 2 trips every day weather permitting. We are fishing the ocean but not far out, about a 45 min ride. But if the ocean is too rough to fish there is not much going on in the bay, only one or two spots that hold a few fish. Here are a few pics and hope to see you soon.

Sunday 9/25 Fluke Finale
Weather was beautiful but the fluke boats were not crowded fishing one side. Picked shorts with a few keepers mixed in with the afternoon being better than the morning. On the afternoon trip Kenny (corona) got the pool and was high hook with 3 keeper fluke. We will now be switching to bottom fishing targeting porgies which has been very good and blackfish(can only keep one). Same half day schedule sailing @ 8 A M and 1:30 P M every day weather and customer permitting i e winds less than 25 mph and enough to go out. Here are a few pics and hope to see you soon.

Fri and Sat reports - Ladies day
Other than the good shot of fish on Thurs afternoon the fishing continues to be slow getting only a few fish a trip with rare keeper mixed in. On Sat morning ( that was not nice) a young lady, Marissa showed up the few guys we went out with, by getting the pool fish on the last drift. Did not get her pic but have an old one from a previous trip that I will put up. On the afternoon trip same thing with getting shorts here and there and then some keepers but the weather was much nicer. Again a woman got about one about 4 lbs beating her dad who only got a keeper. Today is the last day to keep fluke and then we will switch to half day porgy fishing but you can keep one blackfish. We will be on the same sailing schedule for a couple of more weeks so check before you come down. Here are a few pics from the last two days and thanks for looking in.

9/21 &9/22 reports -Ya never know
Had a poor morning yesterday but had an improvement in the afternoon. Today the morning was also slow only catching a few keepers. On the afternoon trip though we had a great first drift and picked some more on the next few drifts. High hook was Ed again with 3 keepers but some others had 2 like Joe who won the pool and also tied on the afternoon before and Artie who did not get his pic taken. Good for Joe and about time. Here are some pics so hope to see you the next few days if you want Fluke.
