The fishing has been the same picking away at shorts, pretty good sometimes but still a lack of keepers only a few a trip. The hot weather had an affect on the turnout in the afternoons but luckily there was a breeze to keep it a little more comfortable. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics from the the last few trips.

Tues /Weds two's couldn't beat one lady
Went back out Tues morning looking forward to another good day but it didn't happen. fishing the same area only picked a few fish. The afternoon was also not like the afternoon before, picking shorts and only a couple of keeper fluke. This morning though we worked a small area with a small group of fisher people and put together a nice catch of keepers with 4 fishermen getting 2 keepers each and one lady beating them out the pool with her one fish. Other keepers on the boat made it one of the better trips of the season. Of course we couldn't repeat it in the afternoon with the winds kicking up but we did have a great whale show with the whale breaching right next to the boat and one very young lady got the pool with her keeper, caught a cow nose ray and got so see a whale. She had a good day. Here are some pics and thanks for looking in.

Sun/Mon reports and a reprieve
The fishing (catching) on Sunday was not good unfortunately with a good turn out. Picked at shorts but not enough keeper fluke. Today we tried a different area and scored. Long first drift that produced a good pick on shorts and etc but also a fair amount of keepers. We ended up with one of the better trips of this year on the morning but not as good in the afternoon with the wind kicking up and making the drift too fast.,still better than Sunday. Teacher Bob did it again taking the pool with his keeper. The camera got misplaced but mate Steve did post some pics on my facebook page. Thanks for looking in and hope to see you soon.

Sat 7/13 in the running
The nice weather brought some people out on a nice day. Picked away at shorts in the morning and got some nice keeper fluke that would have been in the running of the SHBA tournament. Chicken Mike got a 6 1//4 lber but got beat out by his buddy Rick who got a 6 3/4 lber who also had another nice one. The afternoon trip was a little slower but did pick at shorts and got a few keepers while the breeze kept us comfortable. Saw the whale again this morning but not in the afternoon. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.
Thurs/Fri Three in a row
We made it out it both trips the last couple of days but the weatherman kept the crowds down. At least we had the pleasure of seeing the whale the last three afternoons coming right into our bay close to where we were fishing. The fishing is pretty much the same picking at shorts and getting some keeper fluke mixed in. Teacher Bob finally got his keeper and the pool Friday afternoon. Sailing every day, 7 days, tow trips @ 8 AM and 1:30 PM. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics from most recent on back.

Weds 7/10 A few beauties
Did some moving around in the morning and picked at shorts but not as fast as we liked, looking for a few keepers. On the afternoon trip we did much better with the keepers and shorts, with Adrian and another fellow getting two. Eugene took the pool wit a 6 lber that beat out a 5 1/2 and 4 1/2 lb fish. We also took 5 minutes out to look at a whale the showd up near by.The weather was also nicer in the afternoon when a SE breeze came up. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.

Mon/Tues reports
The better fishing we found in a new small area seemed to be getting cleaned up and we can only fish it with the right conditions, wind and tide together. Have tried a few other areas and still only shorts and a few keepers. Tues afternoon the guy who caught the biggest fish of about 5 1/2 lbs was not in the pool and neither was his son who caught the first keeper but we did get a few others that were. Sailing 2 trips every day @ 8 AM and 1:30 PM. Thanks for looking in and here are some pics.
