We just squeaked out on Sunday morning with a handful of anglers but not enough for the afternoon. Had a very slow pick of a few shorts and keepers and trying different areas. Monday (Labor Day) we started off with an immediate keeper and some shorts. Second drift no good so we ventured out a little. Worked an area where we picked shorts and sea robins for some action with an odd keeper mixed in. We ended up in decent shape keeper wise with keeper fluke around the boat. Went back to the same area in the afternoon but had no drift with wind against tide but then the current took over to push us along, but it was a lot of work to keep the boat on a certain line with constant power drifting. We ended up again in decent shape with keeper fluke (double digits) and here are some pics of Monday's catch. First pic is of the afternoon pool winner and it was her first time. Don't forget that Tues, today, is the last day of the Fluke season and we will then be switching to porgies on the same schedule on Weds.
