We ended up with enough fishermen to go out and had plenty of room to fish one side. Just a few fish on the first couple of drifts sand then it was hang on! Not that it was rough only a little rolly, but 2, 3, 4 on at a time. By 9 AM we had a boat limit of 28" keepers and then proceeded to fill the slot limit with our bonus tags. My shoulders are sore from lifting in big stripers. We threw back at least 30 or more keepers to 37 " plus some shorts, not that many of them. Paul got the pool with one he threw back (20 lbs), after weighing it. So that's how we do it, get our limit of keepers and any bigger ones we weigh and throw back for another day cause you never know when the bite will stop. Now is the time to come striped bass fishing and the week days have been much better with less boat traffic. I will decide tomorrow when we will switch to blackfish as the season opens on Thurs where you can keep 6 rather then one. As of now I am thinking of switching on Friday Through Sun for the backsfish but waiting for an updated weather report, so stay tuned. Thanks for looking and here are a few pics. Oh and btw some whales around too.
