The one bad thing about having the fish in the concentrated in the channel is all the boats are there catching them up. Made two long drifts picking away at shorts keepers and blues. Luckily the blues were only up to 5 lbs and could be swung in. Then the wind and tide died so we lost the drift. We did end up with a decent amount of keepers but not like the last two days. On the afternoon trip we started closer because of a ship coming out and picked for a short while. After he went through we tried an area where the ship slowed down and did get a few more fish including Woody with a double header of nice fluke (one taking one of the pools) . A woman who also got tangled in the mess of fish pot and rope along with Woody also boated the other pool fish. We tried back where we had good fishing the last couple of days but no good guessing because of the ship and the pressure of all the boats in the morning. Here are a few pics, thanks for looking in.

Tues 6/14 Another good one and another 9 1/4lber
Sorry the the late report but had too much to do last nite. We had a good morning trip with good conditions. Even 5 yr old Draven got 3 keepers and his dad 4. Everyone on board cheered him on whenever he hooked up. On the afternoon trip the light westerly against the incoming tide killed the drift so we did not move. Did put a few fish in the boat power drifting around until late when the tide changed. Not as good as the morning but we did boat another 9 1/4 lber, second day n a row. Here are some pics and don't forget fathers day is Sunday and we have gift certificates available.

Mon 6/13 OOPS I f-d up and I didn't, that's fishing
Well, I told people not to come down today because the winds would be bad, and they were this morning early, to the point I was sorry I was going out with a small group. Told all that it would not be nice and the fishing would not be good but go figure I was sooo wrong. Only a couple of sea robins and a short on the first drift so we went to another area. Started with a slow pick of shorts and a couple of keepers that seemed great. Then it got better and better to the point I had to go help net. Picked away at some beauties to 9 1/4 lbs to total over 50 keepers, actual count, no BS, with multiple limits plus. Pics do it not justice but had a new guy on the camera with the mate filleting till after we got in. Did it again in the afternoon with quite a few repeats that couldn't wait to go back out. Who know this would happen, but that's fishing. Here are a few pics including a nice striper that we caught. See you soon and hope we can repeat it.

Sunday 6/12 conditons and please listen
We got out this morning with a nice group but knew the conditions would not last. Made a long first drift picking at shorts and keepers but it was hard to hold bottom. Ended up in the bay by the Navy pier with all the other boats and did manage to get a couple of drifts in picking at shorts and a couple of keepers. Had calls for the afternoon and tried to deter the them coming down but still some showed up. Went out with a small group and had to stay close to the dock with the winds. Only a few keepers and some shorts were boated so if if you are not sure about the weather please call and listen to what I tell you. I want you to have a good trip, but do not bad mouth me if I tell you to pick another day and you come any way. Here are a few pics and thanks for looking in.

Saturday 6/11 Conditions !
Like I always say, conditions make all the difference in the world. We went out on the morning trip to find no drift but did pick some nice fish. Then the S W wind picked up, which is perpendicular to the drift so it was hard to stay on the right line. But we did put a nice catch together for the gang with fish to over 7 lbs. On the afternoon trip the winds picked up so we just made a couple of long drifts on the flats and did catch some nice keepers to our biggest of the year of 9 1/4 lbs but he was not in the pool. Tried the hot areas of the morning and yesterday but they were not not productive. Here are some pics so hope to see you soon.

Friday 6/10 The best day yet !
We didn't know what to expect for the trip going out but the winds were not as bad as yesterday so we tried fishing in the bay and had a nice pick going the whole morning so we ended up with a nice catch of keepers. Started the afternoon in the same area and picked some nice fish until we lost the drift. Went to where the wind and tide were together and they were hungry. Some big blues in the mix also and ended with fish to filet at the dock, the best trip of the year with close to 100 keepers ( a garbage can full) up to 7 1/2 lbs by teacher Ed Christensen. Hope it keeps up and hope to see you soon, here are a few pics.
Weds /Thurs reports
Not enough showed to go on Weds and it was not nice anyway but the time noon came around. Went out Thurs day but it was more windy then they predicted so we could not fish where we wanted to and therefore only caught a few keepers and some shorts on the beach in the morning. We barely had enough to go in the afternoon and tried another area with the same results. Mike Jackson got his second pool in a row, way to go Mike. We are sailing every day rain or shine, however please watch the wind forecast and if you are not sure give me a call. If the forecast is winds to 30 or 35 think twice about coming down cause we would be very limited as to where we can fish. Just a reminder, fathers day is coming up and a great gift is a gift certificate so he can come when he wants because fathers day can be very busy in the morning. Here are couple of pics, and thanks for looking in.
